“Standard Property ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The hotel lobby met the boutique status and nicely decorated. Even the Hall ways were with a nice decor. But the room did not impress me at all. In fact I considered it just basic. The rooms are standard and outdated. Other than a crown bed frame there was nothing different to say. I wanted a hotel that did not have massive hallways and this fit the bill, but beyond that not what I expected. I am an executive platinum member and got the standard breakfast as the club was not available. The breakfast is a smoothy and bread. The restaurant was sub standard and service worse. When they cleaned the tables they wiped them off, I spent a long time waiting for coffee and toast ..... and no liquid was used to disinfect the table after people had left, yuck! They charge for parking on the honor system they ask if you have a car, then charge you 15.00. But there is not any tickets, nor do they give you a pass for your dash, park near by and save money. Lots of restaurants near by, but many other good choices near by for rooms.

We went to celebrate their 1year renovation.Absolutely beautiful! They greeted us with a glass of champagne! The rooms weren't as artfully decorated, but nice and clean and cool!Didn't like fax/printer in room.Would have preferred a frig or microwave.Every floor had beautiful paintings on the walls.Nice colors.Comforting.

The Castle - Autograph Collection in Orlando has just 214 rooms (which is small compared to many of the mega resorts in the area). It is also tucked into a parcel facing Universal Blvd (although the address is on International Drive)....which allows for a greater deal of privacy from main road traffic and noise.

As Marriott Rewards members, we use the mobile app for hotel check-ins. We confirmed our arrival reservation while still driving to Orlando and avoided having to make a stop at the hotel. We were headed to Disneyworld and Universal Studios for a weekend of holiday festivities. Later in the afternoon, while at one of the parks, we received a room-ready alert on our smartphone. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were promptly issued our key cards and went directly to our room (no long check-in lines or delays).

Marriott Rewards Platinum Members status included some additional 'perks' - an upgraded executive junior suite, bonus points in the loyalty program and wine and chocolate covered strawberries delivered to room.

The false fire alarm at 1:30am was an inconvenience, but not a 'major' deal for us....we had just settled into bed. Several of the other guests meandering in the lobby were near 'postal' toward the hotel staff members in the lobby. The young staff handled the matter very professionally and did their best to settle everyone's concerns. The police personnel were quick to respond; while the hotel staff assured everyone there was no danger from a fire. The guilty party (a 'wasted' wedding guest) was hauled away by the police (false fire alarms are not treated lightly in FL).

Our program included breakfast in the Garden Bisto Cafe each morning, as well as dinner for two one evening. We dined in the diminutive but pleasant lounge (as the Bisto Cafe ceased service around 5:00pm). Lounge personnel proved to be attentive, while the kitchen staff produced innovation cuisine from a limited menu.

The decor, furnishings and publically displayed art may be off-putting to some guests (one guest used 'garish' to describe the colors and noted the stag skulls with antlers on the walls of the lounge somewhat disconcerting).

We found the property interesting, the staff quite helpful and would certainly consider staying here again.

There is a nightly parking charge of $15 per vehicle (some guests complain about having to pay to self-park, but the fee is clearly posted).

Room Tip: Request a higher floor (four or above) on the garden side (pool facing)

We stayed here for a trip to disney, but this hotel is off the beaten path of the regular "Disney Resorts," which I somewhat liked. There was no touristy families here. It was pretty quiet, though there was a wedding that happened during my stay, which resulted in a drunk guest pulling the fire alarm and getting arrested at 2 AM one night.

The room was pretty nice, not huge, but it was clean, and that is a big plus for me. The staff was pretty friendly, and there was a slight billing issue, but that was taken care of in just a moment when I checked out.

We ordered room service for breakfast two mornings, the food and coffee were both very good, and the food arrived promptly at the time we arranged.

Be aware, my hotel cost was around $350 and they cleared my card for double that at check in, not really an issue as it will be refunded, but just something to be aware of.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again, and I would love to try out the other Kessler hotels in the area (The Grand Bohemian, and Bohemian Celebration).

Ok, here goes , arrival was easy , valet was very courteous but we had no help with the bags . Front desk staff was bright and very friendly . Room and total Hotel absolutely Kessler elegance . Suzette at the antler room bar was simply lovely and wonderful at her position. Like I said the rooms were over the top , beds comfy and all was very clean and pristine . Now my only gripe and it was huge for me on the morning of Dec 7th was the rude , consistence tapping on our door and other doors all up and down the hall telling / asking ( house keeping , are you there ? ) . This shattered our sleep . We hate being rushed and if I was staying there for more than just that nite I would have made a scene and just threw everything together and went to the lobby with just my shorts and would have kicked my bags out the door . If I'm not wanted I will leave and it sure seemed as if we were wanted out asap. I called the front desk morning crew and was told ( oh they do that to people who are checking out in the morning ) . Really , omg . We are so put off by this , we have stayed at other Kessler properties in Savannah , ect and never had an issue before . So just beware on the morning of your checkout be prepared at this Orlando disturbed by anxious staff that want you out at least two hours before checkout . Seems it's this properties policy to do so by the morning front desk staff . Very unhappy , William

This is our second stay here. It shows that it has been considerably renovated. The hotel costs a little more than a three star hotel, but it is worth it. The rugs are newer and kept quite clean. The bathroom fixtures all work as is not always the case if you go for budget accomodations. The reason I think is clear. The hotel has invested in high quality staff at all levels that are courteous and competent. Add the location close to great restauranter in walking distance then you have a recipe for a good stay.

Very good looking. Tower Room smaller than appeared online. All areas really clean. Pool heated and very warm hot tub. We were the only two people there.
Did'nt try bars or restaurant.
Hotel more suited to couples and business travellers not really for kids.
