“Our room was not cleaned!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2011

When we checked in our room looked ok because the beds were made and towels were folded.
We noticed that a few things/trash were left from last customer, e.g an empty bottle on the floor. The used soap and schampoo were left and no new.. When we examined the beds we found that the sheats have not been changed/cleaned since there were hairs and dirt on it!
Luckily we were able to change room.

Please be careful when you are searching hotel online ,it's appear that they have a good price , but they do not say all the information ,after making a reservation online it's just when I arrive in the hotel I find out there is a 10 dollar more per night if you want to have a room with a micro-fridge ,this is so disappointing....

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our hotel.

Actually seeing our hotel being referred to as a "Bad Place" was very disheartening. We have not been informed of the source of your reservation, so we are not able to research this further. We have upgraded rooms which offer ammenities outside of our standard rooms. Based on the information you have provided, it seems that your reservation pertained to a standard room which offers two queen size beds with pillow top mattresses, personal coffee maker, standard ammenities and personal sitting area. All of our guests are invited to partake in our complimentary continental breakfast. Our inhouse restaurant and pub provides phenomenal activities including Karaoke Singing, Darts, Ping Pong, Card tournaments and many more.

We are constantly improving our hotel and hope that one day you will give us another chance to host you during your stay in Orlando.

Stayed on our way to Disney. We wanted a place to do laundry. Wife refused to leave the room and would not let anyone else out. The back parking lot has the county jail fence on the line. We stayed on the back corner by the jail and had 4 suspicous people behind us. The room was dirty, stained carpet, and disgusting. Days Inn should be ashamed of them using their logo. The only good thing I can say is we checked out with everything we stopped with. The front desk clerk told me it was the safest place in Orlando, next to the jail and FBI, comforting. Employees were nice but I would not recommend this place to anyone. I did forget something in the car and went to back toe the car latter, I was wondering what I was doing. The lights in the elevator didnt work so you had to guess whether they had been pushed. Wake up Days Inn corporate.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our hotel.

Our location is less than 1 mile from First Baptist Church of Orlando and 1/2 mile away from The Holy Land Experience. The administrative office of the Orange County Police and FBI department is located to the west of our hotel. The administrative building of Orange County Correctional Department is located 2 miles south from our hotel entrance.

We understand guests' probable apprehension about their safety but please know that we offer 24 hour security and have ensured that all hallway and elevator lights are functional. Please know that our hotel is safer than most of the best hotels in the iDrive Area/Kirkman Drive Area.

We are not able to control a guest's personal feelings about our hotel but we can assure you that our guests' safety is of our utmost concern and we are always available to address your concerns.

We needed a room at the last minute for our daughter and the front desk manager held a room for her till she arrived very late at night. They allowed her the use of their phone to call us and the use of their FAX machine to send important documents. He made sure she was able to have food delivered and looked after her until we arrived in the morning. The rooms were more than sufficient and very clean. Many thanks for all their help and concern.

The hotel is a good value close to Universal Studios. The rooms are quiet and the price is very reasonable compared to other hotels. There is a TGI Fridays very close to the hotel. The only issue was that during December it was extremely cold in Orlando and the hotel heating system was not able to keep up with the cold weather.

From looking at the website for this Days Inn hotel we were led to believe that it was an ideal location for visiting Universal Studios. If this is what you're looking for in a hotel stay away from this one!

When we finally found the hotel we asked if there was at least a bus to universal studios only to be told no, but they have a taxi service which costs $16 each way.

We had initially booked a two night stay but only stayed for one night, changing hotels first thing in the morning. On telling the receptionist (who was wearing a Universal tshirt) that we were leaving because of the location she said "we get that a lot", well why not do something about it.

Other than that the hotel was pretty standard, rooms were clean and the beds were comfy and the staff were nice, it's just not for staying if you want to do any if the parks or don't have a car

2 Groups of High School Volleball teams. Coach called prior and verified that this hotel would be safe and adequate for teenage girls.

My 14 year-old daughter and 3 other young girls slept in an unsecure room. (which was only discovered because the girls could NOT get into their room on the 4th floor and had already been down to the office 6 times to get the card key reprogrammed)

The Days Inn staff attempted to put a clamp on the broken window and we tried the window (from the inside to make sure it wouldn't open.) However, the next am, after breakfast, the card key would not work AGAIN and so they tried the window and it opened with very little effort (with the clamp on). As my daughter came to my room with a couple of girls at 7am to pick up something I didn't get to the door fast enough and she tried my window and it opened. So even though I thought I checked it the night before it also was unlocked/broken.

There was a hobo sleeping near the stair well, the domestic violence episode of the man/woman screaming curse words to each other from the pool area to the 4th floor at midnight, and then the domestic issue where the man was throwing the woman against the wall near my room on the 1st floor in the middle of the night.

This all in addition to the county jail being literally a stone's throw away, the rooms, hallways and so on are very old, unclean and moldy. NONE of the card key's would work. You had to spend half your time walking back to the office to get them re-programmed.

Days Inn needs to GUT this hotel and start over. What a shame to have people actually staying in this place. Not to mention the next morning I see a woman checking rooms with a notepad. I said, "I'll be out in just a minute and she said, "oh no need honey I'm just checking rooms." I'm wondering if all the windows can be open and people jump in the widowns and sleep in the rooms? Do they just do a room check to see who's still sleeping?

Never again Days Inn. You put many children at risk all for a dollar!

Please accept my sincere apology regarding your recent stay. What you experienced is not the
standard we strive to uphold. We have reviewed our procedures and made appropriate changes to prevent issues with the window locks not working from occurring in the future. My hope is that you will allow us another opportunity to serve you. I apologize again for the inconvenience.
