“Not worth your time”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2010

The hotel photos were nothing like the room we had. Our hotel room had bugs crawling around, the bathroom was extremely old and worn out, the linen was soiled and our hotel keys did not work on numerous occasions. All hotel staff were incredibly RUDE. We were waiting to check out and instead of acknowledging our presence at the front desk, they staff were more interested in talking to eachother. The hotel offers free shuttles to Universal studios and to the shops so we were really interested in this hotel for its convenience....how WRONG were we!? The hotel shuttle only goes once in the morning to Universal studios at 10 am and once at night time. So we decided to catch a taxi and get their early to buy tickets and the line was huge and once the gates opened there were already half hour line ups and this was in winter. If we had gone at 10am with the shuttle, we would have been waiting longer. There is also no shuttle to the shops like advertised. There is a Moroccan taxi driver who is the only friendly person associated with this hotel. I would not waste your time with this hotel, I wish I took photos of the room to show you how disgusting the room actually was. Do not be fooled like we were.

Personal Opinion:
Personally, I loved this hotel. I do not know if it was because I had read so many negative comments, which I expected the worst, or because the hotel is really good.

Hotel staff:
The hotel staff treated us very well, although they did not speak Spanish (which was not a serious problem for us.) They even helped me solve a problem I had with the taxi company that took us from Orlando International Airport to the hotel.

Rooms:
The rooms are large enough for 4 people (if sharing a bed is not a problem.)
You have a TV with movie rental service, and some free channels, both English and Spanish, although we do not use more than 2 or 3 nights (free channels obviously).
The fridge in the room is not very big, and no freezer. But it is valid to keep cold water, soft drinks, beer and some food.
The shower worked well all day, and the rest of the toilet too.
The beds are large enough to share for 2 adults and do not bother overnight.
The air conditioning worked well, though you might make too much noise (I am a person who has a hard time falling asleep with noise, and I stayed in this hotel perfectly)
The only thing I can complain is that there is little space for clothes in closets (3 drawers under the TV and a hanger next to the toilet).

Amenities:
The swimming pool is very good, is small in comparison with those of the big hotels, but there are few people. The tiki bar by the pool is also good, with TV you can see from inside the pool. Very comfortable around. The only downside, there is no lifeguard.
The dining room is not very big, and there is usually a queue to be served, but even so the breakfast is more than enough to start the day.
The WI-FI works fine even in the rooms (you can see antennas on hotel buildings to increase coverage).

Location:
It is the best location to go to Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure. You can walk in less than 15 minutes to reach the entrance of Universal Studios.
To go to Disney parks, this hotel is far away, but the hotel provides 2 free buses that take you FROM THE DOOR OF THIS HOTEL TO THE FRONT DOOR OF EPCOT at Disney. Moreover, as is the first hotel on the route (the bus is shared with several hotels in the area) there is no seating problems. To return from Disney, just take the bus in the same place where you stop at EPCOT (also there are 2 hours by bus to return).
For other places in the area, you can take a bus through the area of I-Drive (tourist and shopping area) from a stop next to the hotel. Also the local transport company (Lynx) has several bus stops near the hotel. So no problem to go to any site using public transport. If you have your own car (or leased), the hotel is situated next to 2 major roads in Florida (I-4 and Florida's Turnpike / Ronald Reagan Turnpike).

Conclusion:
I personally recommend the hotel to people who do not want to spend much money on accommodation, because for the price of this hotel is impossible to find anything better in the area. I've been in worse hotels that were much more expensive than this.

Greetings from Spain

Hello everyone,

before we go there, after reading some comments here, we had doubt if we will have problems..But we havent faced any problems during our stay, staff was very friendly, room was ok, and for breakfast if toast bread-jam-butter-egg-banana-orange juice-coffee is enough, it should not be a problem..
ok, dont expect to feel like staying a German style 3stars hotel,
but everything was Ok, and I recommend to people if they want to save money and dont expect some luxery from their stay..

We found and bitten by "BED BUGS" in rooms. We spend only few hours at hotel, we checked out immediately. I will not recommend to any one. We will never comeback to this motel again and will file complaint at DAYSINN.COM. It had ruined all of our vacation.

When we checked in, the guy in line ahead of us was arguing with the front desk about being charged twice for his room. Instead of working to make him happy, the staff got annoyed and defensive. The bed sheets were stained, the closet door was broken, and there were roaches in the bathroom. There was also construction going on at three in the morning...until someone came out and yelled at the roofers to come back later. While it was somewhat understandable that the front desk did not know the details of the shuttle to Universal Studios, they also couldn't tell us the location of the ice machine. In their own hotel. At checkout, we were slammed with a mysterious "hotel fee," which again, they looked annoyed and defensive when we asked about it.

But the hotel IS really close to Universal, about a fifteen minute walk, and we got an incredible rate from priceline.com.

If you're looking for location and hoping to save a buck or two, then this is the place to stay. If you're looking for a clean room, quality service, and no surprise fees, try elsewhere.

We were in the room for 5 hours when we discovered the bed bugs. They were understanding when we checked out. They also immediately refunded my account. I understand it is a problem nationwide, but I didnt see one bug, I saw probably 30 or more. I took pics and videos and my husband had to see a doctor he had so many bites. We had booked a second room for a friend. She discovered them and came to our room and woke us, we found we had the same problem.

Lets see we arrived on a tuesday and checked inn and had to ask for the keys to our room because they forgot to give them to us, the first night we left the AC on full blast while we went to dinner and we came back and it was still barely cool, the next day we get up and leave to get on the shuttle to go to sea world, oh my the driver of the shuttle service that they hired for that was lets just say reckless, so then we come out at 5 till 6 to get the ride back to the hotel at 6:20 and we sat there till 6:40 waiting, then called the hotel, and then at 6:50, 30 minutes late, the shuttle finally arrives and another wild ride back with jerking stops and a bad attitude again. We also found out that they charged the daily fee to out credit card after telling us that we pay it after checking out. We go into the hotel request a room swap due to our air, and they put us in another room, the air isnt much better. The breakfast that they advertise " $4.99- served 7-10AM - breakfast includes:Omelets, Pancakes, oatmeal, eggs, turkey, bacon, cold cereal, Bananas, apples. One cup of coffee or tea is included. Cold drinks are extra charge of $1.99. " its a joke you walk in and there is a guy standing there that has a few dispensers of cearel, a toaster with bread, boiled eggs, no omelets, if there are pancakes they are in a pan premade and covered in foil. Its a joke and its basically in the gift shop. In addition to all this, i was standing on the balcony and watched a van drive around in the parking lot and hit a parked car and then drove off around the corner of the building and ditched the car. My husband and i called the police and then went to tell the front desk and they werent anymore intrested in even hearing about it than the man in the moon. Come to find out the driver of the van was a employee. We will never even think of staying here again.
