“We really like the Swan hotel!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The Swan hotel is on a twin property with the Dolphin. It is a beautiful resort type property with every amenity you can think of. Beautiful pools, restaurants, playgrounds--even basket ball courts! But the best thing about this hotel is that you can walk to Epcot and The Boardwalk. Epcot is a long walk, but the walk is beautiful and something to do all in it's own right. The pathway takes you to the "back entrance" of Epcot which is much quieter and close the the World Showcase. The Boardwalk is a fun place with restaurants and shops. We rented a family bike there and rode around the big circle. The kids loved that! There is a boat from the Swan and Dolphin that also takes you to these places as well as to Hollywood studios. The boat ride is pretty and relaxing. Fantasia mini-golf is also right across the street. To get to the Magic Kingdom and other properties you take a bus from the lobby of the hotel. All of this make the The Swan and Dolphin great choices when deciding where to stay at the Magic Kingdom. The Swan is smaller and bit quieter than the Dolphin which is often used for conventions. Both properties share all amenities, but the pool by the swan is bigger and more popular. The Swan has a sushi-karoke restaurant which my whole family enjoyed. Another great hotel to stay at is the Beach Club which is walking distance from the Swan and has an amazing pool area.

We love both of these hotels! The location is perfect with tons of stuff to do in and around the property. The clientele has changed some over the years. It used to be mainly families, but now there is more and more of a younger crowd which we enjoy just as much. We have 4 young kids and they love coming to these hotels. The character breakfast is their favorite and we never have a problem getting in.

If you are coming to stay at Disney for any holiday then avoid the Swan and Dolphin at all costs, The hotel is billed as a 5* yet I would barely call it a 3. We checked in and they did not have our room available (we had to move) the bathroom was mouldy and the room smelled of damp throughout the stay. Room cleaning was terrible, as was the concierge but worst of all is that this hotel is mainly for conventions, and normal hotel guests are often barred from public meeting places and when they are allowed in the bars, they are often greeted by drunken noisy delegates. I have stayed in Orlando a few times and this is by far the worst hotel experience I have had in a long while.

Room Tip: go to a different hotel!!!

The Swan is a Disney property for sure; from check in to room service, we were not disappointed. We booked through Priceline and got the room for $123 all in, so no complaint there. very friendly staff, very comfortable beds, and a decent view for the deeply discounted price. Tip-spurge on breakfast room service - best egg breakfast you'll find for $17 on property, no lies or waiting, fresh oj and a pot of great coffee, you won't regret it!

We just completed our 20th stay at the Swan Hotel. Both the Dolphin and Swan were renovated in the last 12 months. We were treated to a beautiful alcove room.....a mini-suite. All new furniture, bedding and bathroom. While is I was ok with a shower only [my wife was quite surprised and disappointed] but I could not believe that the brand new shower w/nice new glass doors etc. was designed with no place to put a bar of soap. I know this sounds silly but imagine no place but the floor of the shower to put the soap or shampoo.....no soap dish, no ledge,...nothing.....quite strange. Also, there were nice new glass doors on the shower but the door across from the faucet handle did not slide...only the other door was moveable, so in order to turn on the shower, you have to reach into the shower area and turn the water on.....can't be done without turning cold water on your self.....did the person who designed this ever take a shower?
Great hotel, great location, I will return but things like this are really nuts!!!!

Here having a drink at the Lobby Lounge! The Bartenders Travis and Jason are amazing! Sitting here having a drink and I'm listening and watching them interact with the customers and they are amazing! Very helpful with information about the parks! I will for sure recommend this bar and hotel to everyone! Thank you so much!!

I love the Dolphin Hotel but the last 3 times I was there it was overrun by huge conventions. While on a family vacation we could not get away from the suits. I felt like I was back at work myself. It is very difficult to find a place to eat because it is overtaken by the convention. And it would spill over into the Boardwalk resort. Literally every restaurant at lunchtime was packed and a 45 - hour wait for a place to eat. Even the quick service counter was packed. We ended up eating a sandwich from the Boardwalk bakery on a bench. So if you are looking for a more vacation feel, maybe another Hotel is best. I will say the convention attendees were extremely professional and courteous many from other countries It would be nice if the hotel provided separate amenities for them in the convention wing and not always right in the lobby. This concern however, would not prevent me from booking there again.

Room Tip: I have never had a bad room. But if you prefer a balcony, Pool view is best.
