“Central to all your Disney needs.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Myself and my family spent 2 weeks in Orlando , we don't drive so we stayed one week at Universal and the other at Disney. We wanted a luxury hotel that was central to Disney and not over the top with the Disney themes and that's exactly what we got. The location was excellent as you could get a boat or walk to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and the Boardwalk which meant we could come and go as we please. The hotel is clean, well maintained and in the perfect location for those of us who can't drive. We stayed at the Dolphin and the rooms are basic but so are the rooms at most of the hotels in the Orlando area. The hotel could probably do with some updating but hey, when you have a hotel with over 2000 rooms and traffic that is in excess of 3000 guests then it is quite hard to stop what your doing and change everything. With regard to the food there is plenty of places to eat from take away pizzas to fine dining and to be honest we tried them all, I wasn't overly impressed with the Bluezoo restaurant which is a Todd English's restaurant but if you like steak then Shula's steakhouse is second to none and can honestly say I had the 48oz steak and I could have easily eaten 2 due to quality of the meat. There are shops, an Ice cream parlour along with buffet style eating and coffee shops all on site and they meet all your needs. So if your looking to stay central to Disney and want quality then book here.

“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

I recently stay here with my husband and two year old daughter for her first trip to Disney world. After reading reviews i expected the property to be some what dated. It was NOT nearly as bad as expected. It is dated, but not to the point its all you notice. The hotel is clean, the service was great. The restaurants were all very good. The Italian restaurant in the swan was one of the best Italian restaurants i have been to in a long time! The ferry to Epcot and Hollywood studios was very convenient and a lot of fun for my daughter. I also found it to be very relaxing as well. The bus service to the Disney parks was also great, and right outside. The housekeeping was great and i never had any housekeeping issues. For the price paid and to be on Disney property i would definitely stay again!

“Great Location for the Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

This is a clean and nice hotel. It is an aging property, the rooms need a bit of a touch up. The bed was comfortable and the staff very friendly. What makes this property a staple is the ability to walk straight into EPCOT. My husband and I stayed here at the end of January for my birthday. We did not spend much time in the room, but it is very helpful to walk back if needed without paying for parking at the parks. The Garden Grove has a nice breakfast buffet, but requires a slight walk to the Dolphin. Of the two, I prefer the Swan.

“A Value But Aging . . .”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

Recently took 25 clients to the Dolphin for a 1.5 day business meeting. First the highpoints. The service from the staff was good. Not great, but very good. Very attentive. Food quality was good at most events. There are some excellent restaurants in the hotel. BlueZoo has a great offering - try it for a memorable evening.

Where the hotel starts to stagger a bit is in fit and finish. it is an aging property and it shows in the rooms and common areas. Does not measure up to other Disney properties.

Again, if you are working with a tighter budget this property will work but there might be better options if you research the area.

“A Bit Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

My wife and I stayed at this resort for five nights to attend a business conference. The room was just okay and the view we had was of a roof and nothing else. Our room did not get made up until late afternoon each day. The conference rooms were fairly nice. Overall I felt that for the price and place it could have been much nicer.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the surrounding property.
