“Overpriced for what you get”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

The Resort really disappointed me mostly because it is completely overpriced for what you get. An average hotel room with an old bathroom and the internet connection hardly works. we had to call to get our room cleaned. And staffers weren' t able to answer basic questions If you are looking for dining options, you will have a hard time finding an entree below 25 USD. I hope that I will never have to attend a conference in this place again.

“a poor choice for disney--especially if you want internet”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

this was a nice hotel in the eighties or early nineties...it's old and worn. Rooms feel like a modest holiday inn. There is mold in bathroom. Not enough plugs in the room for today's wired world.

The biggest problem was there was no internet available throughout our stay---hotel said there was a problem in the entire place but there was nothing they could do. All the staff did was send you to tech support. Tech support again said there was a problem throughout the property but they had no idea of when it would start working. It is a tad sad that we are so dependent on technology now but we are and when it doesn;t work for more than 24 hours, it is a problem. On that basis alone I'd stay elsewhere if I were you.

Room Tip: if you need the internet, this is not the place to stay

“Best Upscale Hotel on Disney Property”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

My family and I have stayed at several Disney hotels in the moderate category as well as the deluxe category. After many visits we still return to our favorite, The Swan. We have stayed at the Dolphin as well but the queen size beds at the Swan make it our first choice. It caters to families but has an upscale resort edge that the other Disney hotels don't have. The pools along with the trendy Cabana bar give a South Beach feel rather than a toddlers only enviroment offered by other properties. We take advantage of the amazing dining options at BlueZoo and Il Mullino during our visits. Both restaurants are a highlight in a city that has wall to wall mediocre dining. Our favorite part of the Swan is it's location. We are able to walk directly to EPCOT (our favorite Disney park). We can also stroll over to Disney's Boardwalk for dining and entertainment.

Room Tip: Paying extra for a fireworks view isn't necessary as you can stroll to the Boardwalk to watch.

“In Disney but no disney feel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

You are in Disney, but its not the same as a true Disney resort, and certainly not worth the money. This didn;t feel like a vacation, it made me feel I was on business but was in a hotel near an amusement park. Good restaurants but again the value to me wasn't worth the cost, I will stay in Disney resort properties in the future, it is more important to be immersed in the Disney magic than be at a resort that makes me feel I should be doing work at night.

“The Dolphin Exceeded All”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

My family recently spent a week at the Dolphin for a conventionthis past week. I had read many tripadvisor reviews and found very few to be on the money from my point of view. The room was quite large and had a northern view of the Magic kingdom some 3 miles away. Maid service was excellent and my 2 bottles of water were there every day with the ones stored inthe refrigerator which were ice cold. The restaurant that was used most by us was the Picabu on the first floor and had delicious chicken pot pies which were consistant over the week. Swimming was a delight in their pools and the river boat was a treat until itself as it was an excellent alternative to walking to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. We rented a van to move 7 people around quickly but the bus service would have sufficed if you accepted that it would go to many pick up points before arrriving at your destination. Finally, the desk personnelas well as everyone who worked there were not only friendly but down right helpful and we were all quite appreciate one evening when they guided us back to the hotel when policeofficer who were acting as security for a half marathon were impolite and unfriendly in helping us to find uour way home. Bottomline is that the Dolphin/swan hotels are less expensive that Disney property hotels such as the Polyniian but in a perfect location to get around the disney parks.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Epcot will give a good presentation of their Illumination show each evening. Keep your...
