“Perfection!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We took our motor home for a three week stay, arriving the day after Thanksgiving 2014. It was a great time, crowd wise, to go. Of course, as you would expect with Disney, everything was spotless. We were in the 1700 loop, which is a full hookup area and it was just a short, pleasant stroll from The Meadows store, pool, activity area. We had our dog and he enjoyed the doggie park, just a little further down.

We never needed a golf cart as buses were timely and plentiful. Save your money.

The stores have pretty much everything you will need food wise but it's expensive.

If you park anywhere but your concrete parking area Disney will leave a nice letter telling you to move or be moved. During holidays all decorations must be turned off at 10:00 pm the start of quiet time.

Spacious, clean lots with sand pad for tents, small grill and picnic table.

We had a blast!

Room Tip: Pick up an inexpensive wireless router and you can sit outside with your wifi device.

We recently had the first of what is going to be an annual tradition as we're already booked for next year. Went my son's Cub Scout Pack and I think everyone agreed this was the best campout we've done so far. The campsite is nice, separated enough from the regular loops to not be staring at the motorhomes but close enough to walk over the bridge and get to the pool, fields, outdoor movie and campfire. The kids loved marshmallows over the camp fire and there was plenty to do, although being able to just relax and enjoy was great too.

For those who have never been, the "comfort stations" are great here so it's a perfect place for your first camping trip as you'll have a clean (and heated on those cold nights) place to go.

Room Tip: All of the primitive campsites are together surrounding the comfort station and volleyball/basketbal...

I absolutely love this place. There is really nothing comparible in the US. The grounds are beautiful and spotless. The campsites extremely generous in size with natural barriers between campsites that give you privacy from your neighbors. Free transportation anywhere within DIsney. Plenty to do on any given day or nite.

We traveled with our 22 year old college student who not only enjoyed the parks but the nightlife as well!

We have stayed at the Fort for all 3 soon to be 4 trips to Disney World, we stay in the premium sites in our Class A motor home, you will not be disappointed! I love that I can bring my furbabies with me and know they are totally safe while we are hanging out at the park. :) Dog park is amazing and huge for them to run around, we choose the loop closest to the park. Comfort stations are extremely clean, laundry rooms, stores etc.

Room Tip: Cabins may have wifi, but we stay in the campground portion.

Love this place so much to do. Once you get there you don't have to get in your car, buses take you everywhere. It is shaded bathhouses are always clean. They do a movie every night under with the campfire. Trails End breakfast is expensive but great. Its Disney what more could you want?

Room Tip: your camper is always the best way to travel

Everything was clean, well kept. Deer greeted us upon arrival. Busses to Disney Parks very easy to figure out and wait not long at all. Be sure and go to the beach at night and watch the fireworks they shoot off from Magic Kingdom.

Gotta love a disney trip!!! Way to ring in 2015. Staying in the Wilderness Homes at Ft Wilderness is the best. Great for families - transportation around the parks covered and plenty of room for extended or multi-families.
