“Not bad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

We stayed here last weekend for 2 nights, we had 3 adults and one infant. It is a nice place to lay your head at night. Nothing fancy and pretty small. The beds were comfortable. We stayed in the surf building and were pretty close to the food court, main pool and buses. The food at the food court was pretty good. Housekeeping did not pass by at all during our 2 night stay. We have previously stayed at the Old Key West resort and the service is way better but then you end up paying about double.

Family trip, 4 young children (4-8), 4 adults. Booked 2 rooms, pouring rain when we arrived, parking lot is across street from entrance & check-in - no roof/cover from weather. Parked in covered area to check in - came out to here "disney character" say, "this isn't a d_ _ _ parking lot." Then looked for baggage cart, none, rooms were in one of the farthest away hotels possible. Asked "disney character" for luggage carts, told there were none - we could just carry them to our room, again 8 people in all - lots of luggage. We were put in a building w/baseball teams, no thought given to the age of our children, which Disney asks when you book so when we came out of the rooms to head to pool first thing our youngsters's heard was the " f " word coming out of a young man's mouth. For the money we spent we could have stayed at a nicer hotel off-site. Hotel room was a regular room we could have gotten anywhere, and there was not a coffee pot in room.

Room Tip: At least stay at a moderate Disney hotel.

Had low expectations for this property but was floored by the horrible customer service. Check-in was lengthy even though I had used the online check in service and way too many castmemembers standing around instead of servicing guests. Every request from a specific building to late check out was met with a "no." Rooms were clean but overall the place is very run down and is more like a dormitory for the sports teams and HS field trips than a hotel for families to stay. Standard and "premium" rooms are identical except for the location where the premium rooms are closer to the building that houses check-in and the food court.

Food lines in the Food Court were long but the quality of food served was surprisingly good. Buses take an inordinate length of time to get to destinations (no less than 30-40 min to get to the parks or other destinations). Ended up taking a cab several times to not feel herded like cattle on the bus system.

Normally, we stay at the Polynesian but opted to stay with the team on a Spring Training trip. If you're accustomed to "white glove" Disney service, do not stay here. Had to travel to the Boardwalk area and the Grand Floridian to hear "please", "thank you", "sir" and "ma'am" from a castmember. Spend the extra money and stay at a better resort. Will never stay at this or any other All-Star property again.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, opt for one that faces the parking lot. Stay away from the football theme...

I was a little worried going into our mini vacation reading reviews. We stayed 4/4-4/6/14 and had a blast! If you are an active family you will love this place. Our room was on the third floor had a great view of football and baseball section and it was quiet. Room was clean and we didn't wait long for a bus. Being chauffeured to the parks and downtown Disney area was well worth the money. My only regret was not bringing a cooler...def would have saved us some $$. But next time it will be on my list and we will be back next year!!!

We have stayed at the Contemporary and Caribbean Beach before but decided to try this value resort to save money on our spring break trip. Two adults and one child stayed in the room for 5 nights. Room was clean, staff was great. Quiet at night. Perfect for what you need the room for....sleeping. Sink area was very small so not much room to maneuver around each other, or put stuff around the sink. But for the price it fit the bill. There were many groups of teenagers so the buses filled up fast but the wait wasn't much past the 20 minutes promised, and it seemed like they brought in more when needed. This is the first stop and drop off for the buses that transported from all of the All-Star Resorts. Sometimes we had a dedicated bus but not always. We paid $10 extra for a preferred room. We were able to choose our location, floor, and got a refrigerator. We chose the Surf building which means we were right by the big pool, food court and transportation. Our room faced away from the pool, which we preferred. Food was actually very good at the food court. We will consider staying here again in the future.

Room Tip: Ask to face away from the pool.

This resort offered an excellent vacation option for my family of 4. Easy, convenient transportation to parks. Sweet staff. Clean!!! rooms -- yes it is busy, yes there were many kids and teenagers but once the door to room shut we never heard activity. And we were 1st floor in football section!! I would highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to save a few "disney" bucks--that just use the resort for sleeping and swim. All star sports will definitely stay on our family's radar.

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago with our two young boys (3 and 1). Lovely hotel, room was clean and decent size. Only negative was that it was noisy at night! We stayed in the 'Touch down' area and kids were out on the pitch until gone 11 every night. There were lots of groups of teenagers, however it was spring break! Would def stay here again.

Room Tip: Altough Touch Down area close to transportation it was very noisy at night!
