“Great Service!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

Was there on a holiday without a car and there are transfers to the parks. Also the rooms are modern and clean and it's located on the nicer part of the I drive. But mostly Kelsey was of great service letting us check out later so we could stay in our room until the transfer to the airport arrived. Would definitely recommend this hotel!!

This place was very reasonably priced for the week of Thanksgiving. We got there after midnight (we were at Magic Kingdom all night). I had called to tell them of our late arrival and they said it would be in our file. When I got there everything was ready. They gave us a room against I-4 and I asked to be moved. The clerk did so without hesitation and was very pleasant and welcoming. The Avanti has recently been remodeled and they have gone for a more modern look. It is a better choice than your standard chain. The rooms are outside rooms because the original hotel was probably build in the 1980, but they did a great job modernizing it.

My only complaint was the cleanliness of the shower. They need to scrub the grout between the tiles a bit more.

Would definitely recommend.

The large modern clean rooms, free transfer to attractions, best location, nice service, value for money.
The only down side was that if you have breakfast vaulcher, you do not have many choices. It was every day fixed for eggs, pancakes, toast. Sausage or bacon, jam and butter

Back from a recent stay at the Avanti. Check in was quick, we were upgraded to a superior room, which was large and spacious. Room was clean and tidy, beds made and towels changed every day. Bathroom was quite small and was a bit old fashioned. There was a large settee, table and chairs, fridge and coffee maker.

We didn't eat at the avanti grill, but enjoyed drinks around the pool.

The pool and jacuzzi were lovely and warm, pool towels are also provided.

Hotel in a nice area on I drive, I would return.

The only downfall to this hotel is the noise of the aircon and I believe the hot water generator? This was located underneath our bathroom sink and would wake us up in the middle of the night. Mind you we were so exhausted from the fun during the day that we usually slept through this. Other than this slight issue above, the hotel is one of the BEST places we have stayed at.

The food from the Avanti Grille is superb! You had healthy options including egg whites and fresh fruits as well as gluten and grilled varieties. There are large portion sizes and it is very affordable.

The pool is magnificent! always warm which helped during the colder days of our stay. Plenty of sunbeds, beach towels also provided. The staff also went round and gave us samples of their frozen drinks while we were enjoying the sunshine. The spa is also quite nice.

The room itself is pretty spacious, nice bed, rooms always serviced. The bathroom is a little small (we had a king suite facing the pool) but we managed fine. My recommendation would be to change the shower curtains, probably PVC or plastic rather than a thin cheese cloth material.

Free wifi, shuttle to the theme parks, great food, and the location is absolutely tops! You're steps away from the best part of international drive with so many restaurants, pointe orlando and wonder works at your doorstep. Plus i-Trolley stop is also right outside. Visit Orlando centre is across the road so you can book discount tours etc with them. Same with Pirates Golf and other fun activities.

My only final suggestion is to upgrade the fridge to have a mini freezer, even if its small. We wanted to save money on breakfasts by blending smoothies but it was too hard to purchase fresh berries every day (not a lot of the independent mini markets sold fresh berries). Frozen berries are much cheaper but as we had no freezer we often had to eat out most mornings.

We will definitely stay here again

Room Tip: Choose a room in Building 1 or 2, even if you don't face the pool at least it does not face the...

Joy, it is fulfilling to know that your excellent experience at Avanti has contributed to your five star rating of the resort! We try our best to cater to the different dietary needs of our guests so we are pleased that you enjoyed the variety of menu items available at the Avanti Bar & Grille including our gluten free selections. Please note that the item located underneath the bathroom sink is a dehumidifier. The dehumidifiers are an amenity that has been added to the room in order to improve the guest stay, as it provides relief from the high humidity of the Florida climate. We would like to offer our sincere apologies that the dehumidifier disturbed your sleep. We value your suggestions and please know that we will be sharing your feedback with our team. We sincerely appreciate you selecting Avanti and it is wonderful to know that you will return to see us again. We look forward to serving you on your second visit!

This hotel is in the perfect position on International Drive – half way between Universal and Sea world.

The Information office is on the other side of the road (opposite the Ponderosa) and you can get tickets for all the theme parks there and bus and I Ride tickets. We got good prices on our Disney tickets – 5 days for the price of 4 and for Universal, 3 days for the price of 2. Also bus time tables and leaflets on the area.

The hotel is pretty standard for an American hotel – we found it quite adequate, good size room with very comfy beds. There is an iron and ironing board in the room but only a coffee maker (again standard for America). We however bought tea bags and milk (there is a fridge) and used the coffee maker to make our early morning cup of tea – put the tea bag where the coffee should go, and it made a good cup of tea.

The shuttle bus to Epcot (where you can get Disney transport to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood studios) was excellent. Just book the day before at reception/concierge. Otherwise you can get the Lynx bus to Sea World and change to a 50 for Disney – ask for a transfer ticket when you get on so your whole journey costs $2 each way.

We did not use the hotel shuttle to Universal or SeaWorld as we did not want to be restricted to the shuttle times. We caught either the I Ride trolley or Lynx bus to Wet and Wild and Universal is about a 10 – 15 minute walk from there. The trolley and bus both stop right outside Sea World.

The pool is lovely – and heated. Towels are provided.

All of the hotel reception staff were helpful and excellent. Hotel staff you saw around the hotel were polite and friendly. We had a problem with the safe one day and someone came up within minutes to sort it out. The coffee/cups etc were not replenished by housekeeping so we did have to ask for them at reception but that was no problem.

We were in Block 1 facing International Drive so there is a certain amount of traffic noise (especially at weekends) but it did not disturb us.

Had a great 2 weeks here and would definitely stay at the Avanti again.

We stayed at this resort recently for the last five nights of our Florida holiday. Having stayed previously on I Drive, I knew to area quite well and was pleased to return there. The location in just right, being on the quiter part on I Drive (south of Sand Lake Road) but surrounded by local shops and restaurants. The I Ride Trolley passes the door of course.

Our reception was prompt but our request for a downstairs room hadn't been received (or so they said) which didn't go down well with my daughter, a travel agent, who booked the venue for me. She books many people into this hotel and felt let down over this issue.

However, after going up to the third floor to my room by way of the lift (should people with a walking disability be put on upper floors - what happens when the lift can't be used because of a fire?) I found the room to be very acceptable with a huge 6ft bed, a large flat screen TV, fridge, safe, coffee maker, ironing board, iron, a bath and shower over it. The floor was wooden which some may like but I found rather clinical.

I found the food provision in the hotel to be rather poor. They served hot breakfast sandwiches, omlettes, pizzas and not much else. They also sold a few items like yoghurt, cake, crisps, pop and the odd cereal.

The bar was an unusual arrangement as it was next to the swimming pool and underneath an awning. Unusually, the weather was quite cool when we stayed there so the thought of sitting outdoors to drink didn't appeal at all.

Where the hotel really scored however (although they charged a "resort fee" of $5 pppn) was in the provision of complimentary shuttles to Disney as well as Universal. We used the one to Disney as the car parking charge there is $17 a day. The drive can be a bind as well. We had a good choice of departure and pick up times. Be warned though that they only drop off and pick up at Epcot. The driver also has a sign to say that he'd like a tip!

There are many restaurants in walking distance on this hotel (Friendlys, Dennys, Ponderosa, TGI Fridays. Bahama Breeze, Boston Lobster Feast, Tony Romas etc) but crossing I Drive needs some nerve!

To summarise, I liked the location of this hotel, the staff, the size and cleanliness of the room (it could do with an easy chair though), the shuttles, WIFI and ample parking. I with they'd sort out their food and bar provision though.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms away from I 4. The noise is constant.

We greatly appreciate you making us a part of your holiday in Florida! We are happy to hear that you liked our clean and spacious rooms. Thank you for listing the aspects of the resort that you enjoyed such as our staff and WiFi service. Many of our guests utilize the shuttle service to the parks so it is nice to know that you were able to take advantage of this as well. We do sincerely apologize that we weren’t able to honor your request for a room on the first floor. We try our best to accommodate all guest requests however, please note that requests are not guaranteed. We would like to share that all our ADA accessible guest rooms are on the first floor. Guests have to reserve an ADA accessible guest room in order to guarantee this room type. We are also disappointed to hear that the poolside bar & grille wasn’t to your personal preferences. Feedback from our guests is very valuable to us and we will be sharing your thoughts with our team. Nonetheless, we are pleased that you had a good stay with us and we hope that you will give us another chance to serve you again.
