As my 1st time going to florida i did not know what to expect, my boyfriend has been many times but never stayed at the Vista Kay. As soon as we walked into the apartment, we were overjoyed, we had been upgraded to 3 bedrooms. Our aparment even had its own mini games room. The staff were very friendly and would do everything they could to help you. Great location for all the theme parks with Disney being the furthest away by about 25mins. Such a really nice place, would not hesitate to go back and have recommended it several times now. Thanks Vista Kay for playing a big part in my fantastic holiday to Florida.

We travelled to Vista Cay with Virgin Holidays. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment but were upgraded to a 3 bedroom on arrival. The gentleman at Millenium desk was helpful and telephoned us later to make sure everything was ok. The apartment was was tastefully furnished and had everything we needed. The rooms were a lot bigger than anything you would get in the UK for this price. Vista Cay is perfectly positioned for Disney, Universal and Sea World. It did not take us longer than 15 minutes to drive anywhere. However you do need a car. If you do not drive I would suggest staying on International Drive. We would highly recommend Vista Cay to anyone and are looking forward to visiting this resort again next time we go to Orlando.

My wife and 3 year old daughter as well as my parents stayed at the Vista Cay in Sep 09 and had the most amazing holiday.
After the journey from hell (thanks Flyglobespan) we arrived in the middle of the night at the Millenium office to check in. Its fair to say we were not in the best of moods but once we arrived at our accomodation we were all totally amazed. We were staying in a 3 bedroom Townhouse which took our breath away as soon as we arrived. Split over 3 levels each was decorated to a very high standard. The main living area was situated on the middle level with one bedroom on the ground level and two further bedrooms on the top floor, all bedrooms are en suite. The complex itself has a large swiming pool as well as a kids pool. A gym, cinema area and much more. The staff at the complex are all very helpful. We didnt hire a car, instead hired a taxi driver for the 2 weeks who took us to all the parks etc. This worked fine for us but will prob hire a car next time as this would be handier if you wanted to nip out ti I Drive which is only 2 minute drive away (30 min walk).
There is a Publix supermarket only 5 mins walk away where you can buy everything. (quick tip, If you intend to hire a stroller at the parks then dont, they cost $15 dollers a day at the parks and we bought one for $26 at the Publix which lasted the fortnight) All the parks are a short distance away, the furthest being disney which only about 20 mins.
A great place to stay while in Florida and we will certainly be returning.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2009

We stayed at the Harbor Square area of Vista Cay back in early November 2009, and had an absolutely fantastic stay. Driving down from Sanford airport via Turkey Lake Rd and the I4, took 40-45 minutes with the main checking-in office, next to the Publix, being 2 minutes from the interstate junction. First thing that I noticed was how quiet Universal Blvd is, this continued throughout our 11 night stay - perfect. Checking-in was effortless, with friendly and helpful staff. We originally booked a 2 bedroom apartment but was upgraded, at no extra cost, to a 3 bedroom apartment - whatever the reason for this, the gesture was tremendous and much appreciated. Upon finding our apartment block, we took our pick of ample parking and conitnued to our floor via a lift. The lift was always quick and efficent not to mention very clean - that may sound trivial, but I believe the little things and attention to detail always make a difference. Upon entering our apartment, we were simply blown away - Beautiful. Clean. Well presented. Fantastic. The apartment has everthing needed for your stay - enough towels, bedding, etc, along with just enough of the every day things (toilet roll, soap, washing up liquid, washing powder....) until you can make that first trip to the Publix that's situated by the checking-in office, 5 minutes away. There was always endless hot water for showers, the air-con worked away quietly and efficently, with the 37"LCD providing the excellent relaxation option when needed. The kitchen area has everything needed - pots, pans, frying pans, cups, drinking glasses, knives/forks/spoons, everthing....

The one gripe, if that's the correct word, and it's been mentioned before by some reviewers, is the lack of a safe for obvious reasons. Do not get me wrong, the whole ambience of Vista Cay is fabulous, not once do you feel you have to be security conscious but it would have been nice to have that option. We opted to carry documents/valuables with us everywhere. However, I do believe we would have been fine to have left them behind at the apartment - it really is down to person preference and what feels right for the individual.

The clubhouse. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is good internet access, free too. There are a handful of arcade machines along with a couple of pool tables too, nothing mind blowing but there if you needed them. The DVD rental vending machine was of great use for late evening movies. There is a good gym with quailty equipment and basketball court if interested, all extremely clean and well kept. The swimming pool is wonderfully clean, although a little on the small side but that's just nit-picking - the cherry on the cake is the superb soothing jacuzzi bath, where I was forced to have one, every evening, simples!

I must also mention the fantastic way, in which a problem I had with the PS2, was handled. Upon trying to use it for the first time we noticed there wasn't an AV cable linking in to the TV. I jumped into the car, 5 minutes to the checking-in office, by the Publix to explain the problem, and by the time I'd got back to the apartment, the maintenance man was just leaving in his golf cart! How quick was that?! Superb service by all of those concerned, I really couldn't believe how quick we were helped.

Other useful hints/tips - Universal Studios is 10/12 minutes away, on one road, remember you're on Universal Blvd. Sea World is 5 minutes away along the same road. International Drive really is a minute or two away (by car) where you'll find many eateries. The 528 East, which takes you to the Space Centre and the beautiful, beautiful Cocoa Beach, is 3/4 minutes away, please go! Oh, and next to the Publix, there's a tremendous Pizza place, that do a great take-away menu called NYPD Pizza, great place, really nice, helpful, friendly staff. The only other useful thing to mention is that a car would be beneficial if you're staying here, I wouldn't say essential, but very nearly.

Enjoy your stay - we're already saving for next time.

The Vista Cay is just like the pictures! Perfect!

We had a 3 bedroom apartment booked through IPG - it had everything that we needed - it was 5 minutes from Sea World, 15 minutes from Disney and about 7 minutes from Universal... the traffic was never a problem (as International Drive sometimes gets snarled up). There is a Publix supermarket next door along with excellent Pizza and Chinese takeaway places.

We were looking for somewhere to stay that gave us space when our young daughter went to bed which you don't get in a hotel but we also wanted to be closer than the villas to the action. These apartments were perfect.

I had expected building work to be going on nearby but I think they must have been finished as I didn't see any.

We would definitely go back and recommend the apartments to others

To Mark and the IPG Team - thanks for a wonderful holiday

I would love to give Vista Cay a really bad review so it doesnt become overbooked and we cant get in. But honesty prevails and it really was superb.
After a long flight and a couple of wrong turnings on the drive from Sanford airport (about 50 mins) we arrived at reception where our check-in was handled very quickly and efficiently.
We were allocated a 3 bedroom apt. (only booked 2 bed) which was spacious and very comfortably furnished - just wonderful to come back to after a long day traipsing round theme parks. The apartment was more than well equipped but lacked a teapot for us Brits.
Although the swimming pool at the clubhouse is not huge for such a large complex we never had a problem finding poolside sun loungers - most folk are off to the parks. We also made use of the gym , pool tables and computer room at the clubhouse. The only thing lacking was a snack bar/ coffee bar.
Location was perfect for us but I wouldnt recommend without a car. Universal 5mins, Disney 10-15 mins and I-drive 2 mins. , yet very peaceful. Just round the corner there is a Publix supermarket and the NYPD pizzeria which we liked a lot - very friendly staff and excellent pizza. For a more sophisticated dinner we highly recommend Timpano's steakhouse on Sandlake Ave. A bit cheaper but still good quality are the Bahama Breeze and Olive Garden chains.
Cat wait to go back
