Stayed here with friend so we could go to Universal.
Easy to find near Universal Studios. Plenty of parking. This costs $10 a night. We were checked in by Brian, who was very helpful. Showed us around and explained when and where breakfast was, where the pool and towels were and how we could walk to Universal from the hotel.
Our room was nice, spacious and clean. Usual hotel toiletries, soap, shampoo and conditioner. 2 double beds, sofa, desk, fridge, sink and coffee maker. The bathroom was small but clean and functional. The sink was in the main room rather than bathroom so it didn't need to be big.
Beds were comfortable and little noise in the hotel overnight. We both slept well. Breakfast the next day was ideal. Quite a choice of things available from cooked items, pancakes, french toast, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, bagels, toast, pastries, orange juice, tea and coffee. If it is busy, can be difficult to find somewhere to sit to eat breakfast but people soon clear from a table when they are finished. There is also a small bar and Starbucks coffee available to buy in Reception.
The hotel was a quick and easy 20 minute walk from Universal. Once we parked the car there on arrival, we didn't move it until we left as we found it easier to walk, than drive and park at Universal (you know what the queues can be like in and out).
We swam in the pool in very early March which was heated. Plenty of towels available with a few sun beds around the pool.
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and definitely would stay again. Ideal as a base for a stay in Orlando. Driving to Disney, SeaWorld, downtown is easy from this hotel. And the area it is in is not heaving with crowds of people like I Drive is. There is also a TGI Fridays restaurant a 2 minute walk from The Hyatt at the end of the road.
