3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

it was nice, n walking distance to dwntwn dizzy. b prepared 2 pay $16.00 a day 4 parking. I thot it was overboard. plus $20 per day resort fee.Ur paying 4 being close 2 dizzney. Rooms were ok. U can get a lot more 4 your $$ 4 the same price or cheaper. Noisy early n the morning. Im tailking 4-6a.m. Very overpriced. Most people I saw there were going somewhere else 2 eat. Food there is xpensive. Spend your hard earned $$ on something else besides giving it all 2 the b.A/C will wake u up thru the nite very loud.

Room Tip: go somewhere else.

The overall experince was exceptional. I would definitely recommend to anyone. And the Military rate is great. Even if you just want to stay at the hotel by the pool I would highly recommend it. Great for kids and adults. Vallet parking was awesome. We called when we were walking out of the room and by the time we got downstairs our car was there. There is a new poolside bar and the drinks were 1/2 price the weekend we went. Had a great time socializing with everyone.

Room Tip: All rooms looked nice. We had a room with a king size bed. But next time we want to stay poolside...

Last minute trip with a late arrival. Night manager Andrew very freindly and when we noticed an air conditioning problem hevsent maintenance to work on it and gave us a new room. All the staff was friendly from shop to restaurants. Wife had a relaxing time at the spa. Management checked to make sure we were happy. We have three more reservations booked. Loved it.

I spent two nights there and paid 143 a night as a FL resident. Staff was well trained in Disney fashion, polite and helpful. The room was newly renovated and nice, however they claim balconies in every room but you cannot open the doors or go out there. They fail to tell you that when making the reservation. If you want a balcony room its the 2 story building that is more motel style rooms that look at the pool. The rooms have no coffee which I don't like. They have a shop in the lobby that you buy coffee but the line was long with one person working until they call for help. The shop is starbucks prices with average coffee. The restaurant is way over priced as are the drinks. They have a happy hour from 5 to 7 half price, but I did not attend that. A glass of wine from a 12 dollar bottle in a store is 14 dollars with a about a 4 oz pour. the Burger was 17 dollars and should have been less than half that. The buffet is an all you can eat style like Texas de Brazil for 34.95 and not worth it. The bus serviced to Disney is erratic and I waited 50 minutes and gave up. You get what you pay for, this was ok for the price.

Room Tip: the view I had was Orlando in the distance but with no balcony access it does not matter in my opin...

Dear tt153:
Thank you for taking the time to “post” on your recent visit to the B Resort and Spa in Orlando, as I appreciate your feedback. It is nice to read the overall comments on the well trained staff, Thank you!. Rest assured based on your feedback, we will continue the focus on the overall experience at the Resort. Let me clarify your notes on the balconies – Lanai rooms do have balconies that open to the pool area and outer areas, but due to safety concerns the balconies in the Tower only open a few inches just to let fresh air into the room. I understand your point – but this is a safety issue. As it relates to the Pick-Up – we do use La Combe coffee, which is very popular but thank you for the feedback on the staffing. As you discuss our B Nourished program in our restaurant American Q – yes, it is BBQ, but we have a menu that goes along with the “concept” to give guests more options to choose from.
I have reviewed all of your comments with my team for follow-up and thank you for letting me know.

Again, thank you for your feedback and we look to “B” of service to you again in the near future.

Even though I was there with a coworker for only a short period of time for the PGA Merchandise Show, they really made our stay welcomed. We were graciously greeted at the valet baggage arrival and helped to the front desk. Once at the front desk the employee was nice enough to upgrade us to a villa next to the pool. I have never had the chance to be upgraded to a nicer room and it really made the over all experience great.

Room Tip: Any villa located around the pool is great it gives your a small balcony to sit around not bother by...

We totally love staying at the B Resort. The rooms are always clean. We love the fact that it's close to ask the parks and it's in walking distance to downtown Disney. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a really nice place to stay.

Facilities - A++
This resort can easily get away with charging an extra 30% more than their current rates. The facilities are clearly superior to most of the high end resort hotels in the area. The pool is the crowning glory of the resort. There is a zero entry for little ones with fountains at the front of the pool. The pool is well heated!! Huge bonus, that is not always easy to find. Evening swims are so wonderful, you get to soak all of your stress away.
There are plenty of nice lounge chairs around the pool area, plenty of shade and sun. Beautiful palm trees and foliage. There is a small hot tub next to the pool and it was always nice and hot.
There are lots of areas to sit on comfy couches outdoors and relax.
Inside the hotel smells of water lily , has sexy white shiny floors and has the look and feel of a chic designer hotel. In the lobby, there is always fruit infused water. (Really nice touch) The public washrooms are simply stunning! Everything is super clean and smells wonderful.
There is a games room with a fuse ball table, tables and chairs, toys, Nintendo wii, Nintendo WIIU, 2 Xbox, big screen TV's , and bean bag chairs.
There is not a huge game selection, so if your kids are video game junkies, bring your own games.
Every morning, there is free coffee and tea bar located in the restaurant. (another really nice touch). There is a laundry room on site but it will cost you $8 per load plus the cost of soap and dryer sheets $3

Accommodations B-
In my opinion the rooms fall a little short compared to the rest of the resort.
The beds are so comfortable and offer you a wonderful night sleep. Gigantic 50 inch TV (this is very rare) , Mini fridge. If you are staying with your family, there is no drawer space at all. There are 4 cubbies for your clothes and a small closet. The storage situation in the rooms are not fit for a family of 4 .
(Management, you should offer some white wicker baskets for additional storage when checking in a family). I also found the fan of the air conditioner to be a bit on the loud side, but this was white noise and did not disrupt my sleep quality.
The bathroom of the rooms was most disappointing. The chic and stunning rooms have a very small standard bathrooms. The vanity area is tiny and so is the bathroom. If you would like to have a large glass shower, you would need to upgrade to one of the suites. If you have a family of four, take the room with the bunk beds as it affords you a bit more room to walk around in.
The curtains in the room are not real black out curtains, but they are good enough. On the plus side, the Aveda bath products were a lovely touch.

Service A++
All the staff are exceptional. Everyone goes out of their way to make you happy. The staff are all kid friendly. Everyone is always professional and so kind.

Location - A+.
The B resort is actually located on disney grounds. From the hotel , you can walk to downtown disney in 10-15 minutes.
Also in 10-15 minutes you can walk to crossroads plaza that has tons of great restaurants. (We all loved sweet tomatoes)
The closest parks to the hotel are Epcot and Magic kingdom.
Don't expect the area to be the flare or fanfare of international drive, but proximity to the disney parks is the

Right on Disney Grounds - Bonus
This hotel is perfectly convenient if you are going to the disney parks.
20 -30 minutes on the shuttle . If you want to spend the majority of your time in universal, sea world and Busch gardens, I would pick a different hotel as it is quite far away from the B resort.
(Stay on international drive for sea world)

Shuttle buses - (A+ during the day C+ during nightly peak hours)
Do yourself a favour and leave your car at home. Driving and parking at a park will cost you 17 dollars and a lot of headaches. The park shuttle is clean, free, convenient, always on time, and courteous.
Shuttles are not crowded (unless you are leaving the parks during peak hours)
B resort even has a really great spot to wait for the buses, there is a cool shaded spot at the front of the hotel with nice comfy couches. Best bus stop ever! (another really nice touch)

Shuttle Bus Tips for a stress free vacation
The buses are most crowded during park closing hours or right after fireworks. One bus goes to Epcot and magic kingdom , the other bus goes to hollywood studios and animal kingdom. Due to the fireworks, The 9:30pm Epcot/MK bus seems to always be busy and by the time it makes its second stop at magic kingdom , it is standing room only. Ditto for The 10:30 pm magic kingdom bus is also very busy right after the fireworks.
On the plus side, disney buses are always over crowded no matter what time of day you take them.
During peak hours, there is a ton of traffic and seems to take forever to get home in the traffic especially due to heavy construction right in front of downtown disney. It can take close to one hour to get back to the hotel from Magic Kingdom during peak time. (Not very pleasant when you are standing with 2 exhausted kids in tow). Keep in mind that there are more transportation options available to you because the hotel is only a 12 minute walk from Downtown disney.
Each and every disney hotel has transportation to downtown disney in the evening. You can always just hop on the monorail to the nearest hotel and take the disney transport to downtown.

Taxi tips - if you want to avoid the crowded buses, you might think a taxi is the best way to go, however , you will sit in traffic for over 40 minutes and can end up costing 25-35 dollars or more. There are a lot of van taxi's here that seem to set their own ridiculous rates. Tip # 1 - always use a " small mears taxi " they have standard rates and always tell them to turn on the meter, no flat fare stuff. Tip #2 - install the uber app. It is always cheaper than a taxi.

Room Tips
I would highly recommend that you book the breakfast package through the hotel. The breakfast is exceptional and well worth the extra cost.
There are first floor lanai suites that have a furnished private patio and a gate leading out to the pool. If you have kids and want to relax on your outdoor couch and watch the kids swim, this is the ideal room for this. You can not book the lanai room on expedia or Bookit.
If you like mostly shade on your lanai - ask for the rooms numbered in the 180's
If you prefer a sunny lanai - ask for the rooms numbered in the 130's.
Epcot fireworks can be seen from some of the rooms, but I would suggest that you be at the park for the show. There really is nothing like watching the entire lake erupt with fire and the sounds of the music, and magical globe. Trust me - watch it live at the park!
All of the rooms are newly redone too!

The Restaurant (American Q) A+
The restaurant is excellent. We loved the breakfast buffet that served Mickey Mouse waffles, fruit, croissants, Danish, fresh baked muffins, eggs, bacon, sausage, house potatoes, Greek yogourt with granola, berries, cheeses, ham, salami, beautiful heirloom tomatoes, oatmeal, bread pudding, stuffed tomatoes, and an omelette station. Everything was high quality and super fresh.
For dinner there is a BBQ similar to a brazilian restaurant - all you can eat. If you have short kids, you will be able to pay kids rates. If your kids are taller than 7 chickens, they pay full price.

Notes to Management
We were thrilled to have the pleasure of staying at your beautiful resort.
We will definitely be back, and would like to thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Just one little suggestion, please re-think your choice of music by the pool. Anything with a beat is not relaxing. Many resorts are choosing not to play music, or choosing a soft Jazz as it is easy to tune out when you are reading or sleeping by the pool area.
