1 - Potential mold and health issues
Careful, especially if you have little ones. The room we stayed in did not have any washroom ventilation, leading to massive moisture build up, and definite mold patterns. As someone who has done his fair share of contracting, don't stay here if you have sensitive lungs.
2 - Air conditioner/Heater (unit)
You would think the unit would solve the moisture issues, but it just made them worse. As other travelers have stated about the units in the hotel. They don't really work the way they should. The first day was the only day we were able to set the room temperature, afterwards, it would turn on the heat and ac at random times.
It was also very loud. If you have anyone who is a light sleeper, stay away!
3 - Paper thin walls
Maybe it was because I was on the ground floor, but I heard the conversations of the hotel staff down the hallway. I heard a random fire alarm test (AT 2 AM!!!). And I heard every door on the floor slam shut. Again, if you're a light sleeper, stay away!
4 - Heated pool/Hot tub
Hot tub was basically the temperature of your typical heated pool. Even after attempting to change the temperature, our party and another couple, decided to just.. leave.
5 - Not a Disney Hotel
If you're here to visit Disney World, then you'll feel very left out. I strongly suggest staying at a Disney Hotel for the perks and the treatment.
I tried to talk to the front desk staff and have some other issues resolved. Such as a faucet that wasn't attached to our sink.... ... yes.. the faucet was not secured to our sink... and the air condition unit issues. Never was I offered a room change or any compensation, and the first few people I dealt with didn't do a thing. Apparently some "engineers" entered my room and found nothing wrong I guess. Funny thing is, when another hotel receptionist assisted me, some of the rooms issues were fixed within minutes. I guess it depends who you talk to.
I say the only good thing about this hotel was the Lobby and the WIFI, The WIFI was decently fast, and the Lobby was well designed. That's about it.
And if they have sales?! trust me, its cheap for a reason.
Stayed in unit 148.
