We are not Time Share Owners but stayed at the Blue Heron Beach Resort for 4 nights a week ago. I had seen the Resort advertised in our AAA Magazine and booked a one bedroom unit and requested Tower 2, for the AAA rate of $96 per night. When we checked in, the front desk clerk informed us they had upgraded us to a 2 bedroom unit in Tower 2, 9th floor. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! It was beautifully decorated in the tropical theme, immaculate, great view over looking the lake, pool, etc. The balcony was about 30 ft. long with sliding glass doors going out to it from the living room and master bedroom.
The living room was large with sofa bed and matching love seat, plus a comfortable chair, TV and separate sterio unit. All tile floors except the bedrooms had carpeting.
The kitchen had all the dishes, silverware, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker, electric can opener, everything one would need. Electric range/oven, micro wave, dishwasher, side by side refrigerator with ice maker, and stackable washer in dryer with sliding pocket door to close off the sound when running, just off the kitchen. Oh, I forgot to mention, granite counter tops in the kitchen and both bathrooms. The kitchen over looked the dining area with a large glass top dining table with 6 dining chairs, plus the granite counter with two bar stools.
The master bedroom had a beautiful, comfortable king sized bed, beautiful dresser and end tables, TV, large walk in closet, and large master bathroom with jacuzzi tub/shower.
2nd bathroom in the hallway next to the 2nd bedroom had two twin beds, nice sized closet, dresser with TV and night stand.
Just inside the entry door to the condo was an elcove with bunk beds.
We use to live in Orlando so come to visit the area often and from now on we will not stay anywhere else. Our son and his family were staying on the Disney property but they have said that from now on they too will only stay at Blue Heron Beach Resort. One night we had our son, daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren come and stay with us. They all loved it!
The resort is located just a short distance (about 1/4 mile) from the Disney Village/Lake Buena Vista also known as Downtown Disney. The resort has free shuttle service but we had our own car so did not use it. There is free parking in the 2 level parking structure and in the open lot.
Plenty of restaurants, shops and drug stores in walking distance from the resort and we even had a pizza delivered one evening.
We were asked if we would like to sit in on a time share presentation but when I indicated we were not interested in being owners, the lady was very pleasant and did not press us.
In all the hotels and resorts we have stayed in all over the main land United States, Hawaii, Canada and Europe we have never had one that can compare to this resort. I will be posting photos on Tripadvisor.
