I loved the Floridays! We stayed from Aug 6-Aug 11, 2007. It was beautiful, well-maintained, and spacious, AND SO AFFORDABLE! I couldn't believe we paid: $229/nt for 4 nites, with 5th nite free. The suites are big, like an apartment: 2 rooms (king and 2 doubles), mastersuite with jacuzzi jets in bath with double sinks. Beautiful lighting, and elegantly decorated. Huge flat screen t.v. in living room with dvd player, and nice-sized t.v.s in each bedroom. We got Unit C107 -- ground floor, overlooking the man-made lake. It was right by the elevator, but the noise didn't bother us. We sleep like rocks.
My girls (ages 2 and 8) *loved* the pool. It was the first hotel/condo pool where I felt like the kids were absolutely safe. It's sloped like a beach, with the shallow end perfect for toddles; they think they're swimming. :) No nasty baby pool full of pee-pee and what-not. Everybody's in there together. The kids' pool included: lots of little fountains, little "geyers, for the kiddies to play in, and spouts that dumped water on your head. :) In the same area, there's a separate pool with jacuzzi jets and fountains, and a hot tub! Adults who want a quieter scene can check out the pool that's away from the lobby area.
Other amenities include: gameroom (with air hockey!), free wireless internet around pool and at lobby, exercise room, sandy play area for kids near pool, bar and restaurant near pool, unlimited towels at pool area, business center with printer and computers, and concierge who can sell you tickets to attractions.
It's also conveniently located. You're 3 minutes from a shopping center with Walgreens, Publix grocery store, Subway, Liquor Store, UPS Store, Sunglasses shop ,etc. -- we spent TONS of time there picking up what-nots. The Premium Outlet Mall is just around the corner.
It is a little bit of a hike to Disney Parks (5 miles or so?). It would take us 45 minutes from condo to park gates with all the transportation rigamorole (drive to Magic Kingdom, park, wait for tram, ride tram, walk up steep ramp, ride monorail). The heat was unbearable (96-100), and my kids were worn out just by getting to the Park, so we gave up on Disney a couple of days and just stayed at Floridays.
I've considered buying a unit someday; they are JUST THAT GOOD!
