“Absolutely Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2007

I loved the Floridays! We stayed from Aug 6-Aug 11, 2007. It was beautiful, well-maintained, and spacious, AND SO AFFORDABLE! I couldn't believe we paid: $229/nt for 4 nites, with 5th nite free. The suites are big, like an apartment: 2 rooms (king and 2 doubles), mastersuite with jacuzzi jets in bath with double sinks. Beautiful lighting, and elegantly decorated. Huge flat screen t.v. in living room with dvd player, and nice-sized t.v.s in each bedroom. We got Unit C107 -- ground floor, overlooking the man-made lake. It was right by the elevator, but the noise didn't bother us. We sleep like rocks.

My girls (ages 2 and 8) *loved* the pool. It was the first hotel/condo pool where I felt like the kids were absolutely safe. It's sloped like a beach, with the shallow end perfect for toddles; they think they're swimming. :) No nasty baby pool full of pee-pee and what-not. Everybody's in there together. The kids' pool included: lots of little fountains, little "geyers, for the kiddies to play in, and spouts that dumped water on your head. :) In the same area, there's a separate pool with jacuzzi jets and fountains, and a hot tub! Adults who want a quieter scene can check out the pool that's away from the lobby area.

Other amenities include: gameroom (with air hockey!), free wireless internet around pool and at lobby, exercise room, sandy play area for kids near pool, bar and restaurant near pool, unlimited towels at pool area, business center with printer and computers, and concierge who can sell you tickets to attractions.

It's also conveniently located. You're 3 minutes from a shopping center with Walgreens, Publix grocery store, Subway, Liquor Store, UPS Store, Sunglasses shop ,etc. -- we spent TONS of time there picking up what-nots. The Premium Outlet Mall is just around the corner.

It is a little bit of a hike to Disney Parks (5 miles or so?). It would take us 45 minutes from condo to park gates with all the transportation rigamorole (drive to Magic Kingdom, park, wait for tram, ride tram, walk up steep ramp, ride monorail). The heat was unbearable (96-100), and my kids were worn out just by getting to the Park, so we gave up on Disney a couple of days and just stayed at Floridays.

I've considered buying a unit someday; they are JUST THAT GOOD!

We (2 families--4 adults and 4 kids) stayed here for a week from August 3-9, 2007. We had a 3 bedroom condo on the 5th floor in building B. The condo was very nice--new, well-decorated, comfortable. We felt it was great location--close to Disney, Universal, Sea World, etc. The pool was very comfortable--good size, temperature, hot tub, cold tub, great pool towels. We never found the pool area to be overly crowded. the kids really enjoyed the pool, especially after a hot day at the parks. it was great having a kitchen and washer and dryer. We would definitely stay here again. It is en excellent value for the price.

We recently stayed at the Floridays resort August 11-14 and had a wonderful time. The resort is centrally located. Just the other side of the freeway from Downtown Disney, a couple of miles from Sea World and just a10 minute drive to Universal. We loved the amount of space. Two Bedrooms with two baths, a separate formal dining room, kitchen and living room. We felt right at home. 3 tvs in the room enough for everyone, but with all the amenities, who has time to watch Tv! The pool area was nice and clean. The room was spotless with tons of amenities. The only issue we had was with a dead Tv remote battery. The line at check in was long, so I went to the conceirge desk, Absolutely no help at all, told me to walk down to Walgreens to buy new ones. The Front desk quickly apologized and had batteries were delivered to the room within 30 minutes. Great service, price and gorgeous property! And most importantly the beds are very comfy and the towels luxorious! I definitely recommend this place!

  • Liked — The amount of space and newness of the resort
  • Disliked — Nothing about the resort itself, just the road construction surrounding resort area

Our family of 2 adults and 1 teenage son spent 10 days at Floridays end of July and we have to say it was above our expectations. The suite in building C was spacious, clean and very well equipped. It was lovely to have two bathrooms and the space to move around. On previous visits to Florida we have stayed in various properties but to date this is the best. Our suite was kept adequately clean, we chose not to pay for the full housekeeping, we had change of towels etc when required, we had no issues with housekeeping at all. Provided good quality toiletires which was a nice touch. Everything worked well. The pool area was fine for us as we spent very little time there due to going to parks etc. We felt all the public areas were kept very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Palm Cafe could have had more choice of food, and a breakfast restaurant would have been a bonus, they do have some breakfast items in their little coffee bar but limited choice (though 1 morning my son fancied a grilled chicken sandwich at breakfast time and it was no trouble for them to cook this to order for him) - guess that a lot of people might decide to cook in the suites therefore may not be a lot of call for a full catering service. It was close to all the parks etc and a few shops nearby. There was construction going on next door and our balcony faced this, and could be a little noisy in the morning, but it was fascinating to watch them planting large palm trees!! There was some noise in the corridors on a couple of occasions, children running along and shouting, but you do get that most places. Overall we found Floridays very comfortable and for the price very good value for money - a hotel room would not cost much less and you only get the one room - it was just lovely to have the space and would recommend Floridays to anyone who wanted a base for the parks, with a bar for drinks, good location,(the further north on IDrive you are the more congested it becomes and Floridays is at the quieter end of IDrive) decent pool and comfortable bed to collapse into after a long day at the parks.

We would go there again if we chose to holiday in Orlando in the future. We would recommend it to anyone.

Well, let me start out by saying how much my husband and I love this resort, so much so this was our second visit in six months. We rebooked here based on the superior hospitality we received the last time we came.pon arrival I knew I wanted a suite in building C, this was where we were last time overlooking the pond and It was fantastic. There were no rooms available there and we were put into building D overlooking the pond and small pool. This location turned out to be even better than our original booking, It was so quiet and we were able to view the fireworks from Disneyworld from our balcony in the evenings. The only downside was the new cheaper hotel that was just built next door that faces Floridays, that obstructs all of your view to the south of you now. My husband and I would spend many late evenings on our balcony watching the tenants from that hotel sneak over to use the Floridays pool.
The room service was our biggest complaint. Again, we were not used to this as our first time there we felt so pampered. We went 4 days with no new toiletries. I ended up having to go down to ask the woman at the desk for some. Our beds were never made, we had to ask for fresh towels after 3 days, the closet door knob in the spare room fell off when I opened It. There were urine stains on the toilet seat when we first checked in and strange stains on the walls in the second bathroom that I ended up removing myself.
If you are planning on using the I Trolley to commute throughout the day you will be risking your lives trying to cross the street to catch It. There are no pedestrian crossings or lights, stop signs or anything to assist you.
The most ironic thing about our stay was given the lack of room cleaning from housekeeping, they had the nerve to call me in my room on our departure morning at 9am to ask what time we would be out so that they could clean the room for the next group.
There are so many other beautiful resorts going up in the area, I think It may be time to try something else for next time.

We loved this place. We have previously stayed at other resorts at Disney and would highly recommend staying here instead. The rooms are bigger, have full kitchens, and washer and dryers. We are a family of 5 and stayed in a 2 bedroom condo. We were not on top of each other like we would have been a regular hotel. The price was cheaper than alot of the hotels in the area. Pool was very nice. Rooms were new and clean. Beautiful decor. Will stay here again.

Six of us spent 8 days at Floridays. Building C.
The plus side, Great location, clean , well manicured grounds. Polite staff. plenty of parking. Great looking main pool area. Nice rooms. Good rates.
The minus side, Noise, and lots of it, open corridors, pool areas much too small and always crowded. Housekeepers did not show up for last 2 days of our stay. Handicapped parking is a free-for-all. You have to call the front desk for everything from towels to toilet tissue.
Did I mention noise?
It's too bad this place really does not have it all together, it could be great but it settles for much less,
