It's easy to get taken in by all the standard places to eat by the roadside on all the main streets in Orlando and many of them are ok places to eat, but when ok isn't good enough then you should head to places like Yellow Dog Eats. We did some research before our trip of good places to eat and this place seemed to come well recommended and we were so pleased we took the advice. This place was a bit of a drive from where we were staying and being from out of town and following the Sat Nav it's easy to think you may be getting lost... But after the few final turns we ended up outside the restaurant with the chickens roosting in the trees outside and the pitch black car park out the back. Once inside the charm of the place oozes out and you are taken away with the homely feel of the place that is so far removed from the sterile environments in so many of the chain diners. Food is ordered at the counter and you can't help but stare into the pudding cabinet just praying that you have enough room left after your dinner to sample one or maybe 2 of the treats it holds. Soon enough after ordering the call came from the counter that our parties meals were ready and so we headed up to collect them (It's DIY in here but this adds to the charm in my opinion). I'm a big fan of pulled pork and so with so many choices on the menu it was hard to pick, but my roll was stuffed to the brim with pork and I enjoyed every second of it. My partner went for the skinny option with no bun but had lettuce leaves instead and you could tell by the look on her face after the first bite that she was happy with her choice. All of our party enjoyed their dinner, then spent time looking at the sauces and wines on sale around the room. Then the inevitable happened, we ordered from the chiller cabinet. Brownies that will blow your mind and slices of cake the size of a brick. All good things with my appetite. Again the puddings were great and all of these dishes come at a super reasonable price. If you do one thing on your trip to Orlando then make it a trip off the main roads to visit places like Yellow Dog Eats. I can't see how you would regret making the trip. Awesome stuff.
