“A complete and utter embarrassment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Go at your own risk. This stadium if you want to call it that, I wouldn't, is in one of the most disgusting neighborhoods in America. Prepare to get accosted if you go here. The place was so pathetic it inspired UCF to build there own stadium to escape this ghetto. Newsflash: No city in America still employs the build it in the cesspool and it will revive the area. All you are doing is missing an opportunity to have a nice stadium in an area of the city with quality restuarants and activities that may stimulate the local economy. Shockingly the powers to be in this good ole boy stupid is as stupid does contrived metropolis approved millions of taxpayer dollars to be thrown at this trash heap although it is home to nothing but a third rate bowl game and an annual FAMU Bethune Cookman game which generally leads to increased residency at the Orange County Jail. Orlando, the city stupid, take 1,145.

“Orlando Calling”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Went to Orlando calling and had a great time. Great food--super great band options. Never understood the name "Orlando Calling"? Never would have known that it was a series of concerts. Great experience!

“It's FINALLY going to be renovated.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

I've been to the Citrus Bowl Stadium many, many times in the past 34 years. I've seen it at it's best. I've also seen it afer a much needed renovation, I think it was in 1989, or so. Then over the decades it has once again become a rusty, leaky, venue MUCH IN NEED OF REPAIR. Now once again, in Jan 2014, it will undergo a n axpansion/major renovation. This is good news because the major bowl games were on the verge of pulling out of Orlando. Now, thanks to the commitments of both Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, and Orange County Mayor Theresa Jacobs, this once great stadium will again become the showpiece it once was.

“Good venue for soccer games”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

I have attended a dozen soccer games at the Citrus Bowl -- all of them home games of Orlando City Soccer Club, the city's minor-league team, also known as the Orlando Lions. The team draws only 5,000 to 12,000 people for a game, so we fill roughly half of the lower bowl and none of the upper bowl, which is nice because you don't have to sit elbow to elbow or knee to knee. The food is routine and expensive, unfortunately, but if you sit in the last row of the lower bowl along the sidelines, you get an almost-constant breeze blowing from beneath the upper deck, which makes it quite comfortable even in the heat and humidity of a Central Florida summer. Also, if you choose to sit on the east side of the stadium, facing west, the sun is almost always down below the upper deck on the stadium's west side by 7pm or 730pm, so you're not staring into the sun.

“An Orlando Landmark”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

Growing up in Orlando, the Citrus Bowl has always been here. Our high school football games were played there. It's been updated, renovated, but it's older than I. Take a seat cushion for comfort. The good thing is, it's easy to see the action on the field from almost every vantage point.
