“Great Stay at the Lake Buena Vista in Orlando”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We booked this "Hotel" through Virgin Holidays and were not disappointed. The room or should I say appartment was huge, and had everything one could want to make your stay enjoyable. After a shopping trip to the giant Walmart for esentials we were all set, just like having your own Villa. The place is clean and well presented. The only thing we did not approve of is the lack of house keeping. It is the first place I have stayed at where you have to ask for a maid to make up your room which incurrs a charge. Well situated for all the attractions and local restaurants. You do need a car however, the hotel does provider transport to the Magic Kingdom, but if you miss the return coach, you incurr an expensive taxi back.

Room Tip: The grocery store within the hotel grounds is rather expensive. Three minutes drive to Walmart is we...

This hotel is well located close to all of the main attractions.

The pool is decent although the pool bar is over priced ($18 for 4 ice lollies)

Despite other reviews about the hotel pushing time share we had no experience of this. The hotel could benefit from a bit of care and attention to detail and some aspects could do with updating but it is 3 star quality.

One warning DO NOT USE THE ON SITE FOOD SHOP IT IS VERY VERY OVER PRICED. $15 for a litre of milk and 6 small bottles of water (10 times more expensive than Walmart)

Walmart is three minutes down the road (turn left out of the hotel) and there is a garage shop across the road.

Denise at reception was very friendly and helpful.

A resort charge of $12 a day is a little over the top seeing as you are paying get for the hotel but it seems other places charge a similar fee.

Free WiFi is available at the pool and inside the hotel.

No coolers can be taken into the main pool area but plastic bottles of water were allowed.

Our room was large, clean and well appointed with everything you could need for a self catering holiday.

We didn't bother with housekeeping as rubbish chutes are at the end of each corridor and there are plenty of towels provided to keep a family of four dry for a two week stay.

Our kids loved the water slide in the main pool.

A good experience overall.

We stayed for 9 mights to attend our sons wedding being held at the Boardwalk Resort in Disney. Great location close to Disney, Shopping 5 minute walk and restaurants were close by. We had a 3 bedroom unit on the 7th floor in building 1. We found the rooms great. Noise level was really good the one time we call the front desk about the air conditioning unit they sent someone to fix it within an hour. Great service. The restaurant Frank Farrell's service and food was really good especially the wings. Highly recommend this resort.

I booked a hotel in Priceline via the deal express and I got this hotel. Unfortunately the service is not good and the rooms needs to be upgraded.
To access the pool, you need to cross the street, the charge a hotel fee for internet and parking and there are no parking spaces..
the only good side is the location. It is close to disney parks

Room Tip: They charge for WiFi and parking via the hotel fee.

My family stayed here for one week. The room was not cleaned everyday. The "free" shuttle is only free for a select few. The resort has 500 rooms and the bus holds 60. Also, the pool bathroom was worse then the worst bathrooms in Mexico. Don't make the same mistake we did.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite on the 14th floor. Awesome view, and could see the Disney fireworks every night. Large master suite, and 2 comfortable bedrooms. Nice living area, and balcony. They have 2 pools and one has a fun slide. Only downside is no daily towel service. Very easy drive to disney

We stayed here during Feb half term.
Check-in was well organized and we had preordered some grocery’s online as per Hotels recommendation.
The cold items were all placed in the fridge which was very kind of them.
We had a 3 bedroom suite for a family of 5.
The master bedroom had a very large walk in shower and Jacuzzi hot tub, which my 3 children loved all getting into together.
Good sized walk-in wardrobe with safe and flat screen TV.
The living, dinng, kitchen is all open planned and ideal for family holiday.
The kitchen was well appointed and we needed nothing else during our stay.
The 2 other bedroom were a twin and a double both with good size wardrobes and storage and again flat screen TV which my children loved watching in bed in the am
We had a balcony but weather was very chilly during our visit, but the view was not great.
While I could not fault the room had everything you needed all well specked out, was a bit dated, and could do with a fresh coat of paint and carpet cleaned
As could the rest of the resort.
A/C and central heating all worked well.
The wifi was good in our room.
The swimming pool was great, but the food was not.
The onsite shop was handy for some emergency extra, but no daily fresh bread.
I visited Walmart every other day to get milk/bread/fruit etc; this was at most 2 mins drive down the road.
Also bought a large cool bag and a very cheap stroller $20 so my middle son could have a break from all the walking, and saved taking 2 pushchairs on the plane
This supermarket is huge and nothing really comparable in the UK other than Costco/large Tesco.
We would have breakfast in out room, and make a packed lunch and snacks for our days out at the parks, which reduced the cost considerably.
We ate a few times in the parks but also tried a few places in the surrounding area.
We never used the shuttle service, as we had a hire car. It’s extremely easy to get to any Disney park from here 10-15 tops.
For the money I think its well worth it and represents good value only to be let down by décor, but if it was improved I expect the prices would go up a lot.
