In late March I visited the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa with my parents, my 2 children and my 2 young nephews. We had a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom suite with a pullout sofa in the living room. Nobody in our group had any complaints about the room and its amenities. The buildings were in good repair, no disgusting worn out carpets or paint peeling off the walls like you see at some hotels in the public areas. The Resort pool has a pirate ship waterslide that all the kids loved, even though it was the coldest day of the month when we went in. The Resort Village has restaurants, bars, and some other shops on property and is within walking distance to an outlet shopping center with lots of shops & restaurants. The property is really conveniently located and is within a 15 minute drive to all the theme parks in the Orlando area, Disney parks, Sea World, Universal, Wet n Wild. I would happily stay at this property again and I'd highly recommend it to any friend that wants to go to the Orlando area and be close to all the theme parks

My family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed in a 2 bedroom rental. It was clean and comfortable. The full kitchen was terrific to make home cooked meals occasionally. The kids were thrilled to have 2 beds in their bedroom, so they didn't have to share. The double sinks and huge shower in the master suite were very nice to have. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The pool was terrific. The kids could swim in the heated pool even though the air was not so warm. I will return to this resort.

The resort overall is good and has all the amenities needed for a family holiday. The really great thing is the location. It a few miles to the gates of disney, 1 block from a 24 hr Walmart, and 5 mins away from the lake Buena Vista area with lots of restaurants. Some of the things letting the resort down are the rooms which could do with a update, but they are clean. The main area of complaint is that there is no shade around the pool. If there were some parasols I would stay by the pool longer. If the resort read this buy some as the extra income at the pool bar would pay the outlay back in a few weeks. Overall it is good for families, but not special in any way.

Room Tip: One in shade in the morning

We stayed for 5 nights mid April. I had requested building 5 at time of reservation but when we got there no rooms available. We got building 2 ground floor. First impression was the 2 bedroom villa was adequate. The furniture needs updating. Sofa sagged and chairs were oddly small. The beds were horribly uncomfortable. The first morning we were there went to make pancakes and there was no spatula or mixing bowel. Called front desk and man said he would have one delivered when staff arrived at 9am. Great but it was 8am and the kids were hungry. We even asked if we could come to the lobby to get them but was told no. Right about 915 someone came with a spatula but no mixing bowel. We gave up. Went to Pizza Hut for lunch and encountered the rudest lady there. We asked about the pasta meat sauce and she said "it is like dog meat". Husband asked if he could have olives on his sandwich and she said no! Kids went to the arcade and lost 8 tokens in the games because they did not work. We went over to the pub and they did give us the tokens back. Pool was good. The kids did enjoy the large pirate ship pool. Parking was a nightmare. People parking along the road and at the dead end where it was posted as a tow zone. We came back one night and absolutely no parking spaces and didn't want to risk a tow so we had to park behind the building in the outlet mall lot overnight. This was especially disappointing since we have a handicap placard and there were only 4 handicap spots for all of building 2. Now I don't always expect a handicap spot but it seemed people parked their cars in them and never moved the whole time they were there. All in all it was an adequate place to stay but I don't think we will return. We have stayed at similar 2 bedroom places for the same price and have had a better experience.

Stayed here for 2 weeks over Easter period. Have stayed here a few times before and feel it's a brilliant location for all the attractions etc.

Only minor niggles were had to call 4 times to get cereal bowls - our ones were chipped and cracked. You have to pay for coffee (except first sachet - we never had one!). You have to pay extra for cleaning during your stay - didn't use it, but found grape stalks on the carpet from ?previous guests. Bombarded with Pizza menus through your door.

Nothing that would stop us going again. Reception staff are very helpful. Only thing I would like to see is more seating by the pools at the weekends as it gets far too crowded.

Room Tip: Block 1 has a pub/restaurant below and is separated from Block 2 by a small pool. These blocks are...

We are currently in the resort on holiday. The apartment is ok, big, quite clean although damaged furniture and stained carpets and the disney parks are fab. However I wrote to the resort weeks ago to let them know we were coming on our honeymoon and could we please have a fireworks view room. No one has acknowledged this is our honeymoon at all and we are in an apartment with a view of the ugly shopping mall and parking lot in block 1. No idea who Trish is as my email to her was responded to by someone else. It's ok but nothing special as far as service goes.....such a shame.

Room Tip: Avoid 1809 apt if you like a nice view.
