“great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

We have just come back after a fortnight at this hotel. As many of you will have read I will say if I find anything wrong even if its minor so you get a real idea of anyhotel I review. Well, this hotel is fantastic - we loved it and I haven't got a single bad word to say about it. oh yes, maybe I have - 2 weeks isn't long enough! Although it is not in the middle of the action and is quiet it is not hard to get anywhere even without a car as the hotel supplies free shuttles to I Drive where you can pick up the I Ride (if you are going up and down all day buy a day pass at 6 dollars rather than pay 1.25 each time (kids are free). The hotel was clean, spacious and very friendly. Our special thanks to Trish and Caitlin who could not have been more helpful. The kids loved the pirate ship and would have loved to spend more time there - but this is Orlando and so much to do, but the adults were happy to sit in the hot tub. We ate breakfast in F & F's most mornings and this was a very nice continental stylke that suited everyone. Although we only ate 1 evening meal there it was good. Everyone enjoyed what they ate, but I do think they were a bit pricey - watch out though if there are more than 6 of you eating together they will add a surcharge. Their pitchers of beer seemed to vary in price - we paid anywhere between 8.95 and 13.95 for the same thing, but didn't realise at the time as different members of our group were paying, so watch out for this. The ladies in our group all used the spa, having different treatments and everyone was happy with what they chose. The full body massage was so relaxing and made us feel good all day. EMail Trish if you have any concerns - she really knew how to make you feel less apprehensive and she was right. We did and she managed to secure 2 rooms facing the pool for us and the other 2 with views of the fireworks (building 5, odd numbers,) but this time of year I will warn you it is cold on the balcony at night. We had a really wonderful stay and wished we could have stayed longer, but no worries I am looking for next year. The factory outlet next door is okay, but the better ones are premium outlet either by Florida Mall or closer at Vineland avenue. Walmart is a short walk away. The hotel has a price list for taxis so if you want to use one - ask them first. Don't worry about this hotel just enjoy it - we did.

Room Tip: Building 5 8th floor up odd numbers if you would like to watch the fireworks. But all 4 of our room...

We emailed the hotel before travelling to ask for a nice room with a good view and were delighted to find we had been given a free upgrade to a three bedroom apartment with a view of Disney fireworks (although they are quite a distance away.) Anyway, plenty of room for the two of us!

Very clean and well equipped although a few signs of wear and tear on some of the furniture. All staff were friendly and helpful. Not far off the I4, so easy to get around to the theme parks, malls and other tourist attractions.

Only downside is the price of goods in the on-site shop, which are extremely expensive; just as well there's a Walmart within a few minutes.

All in all had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again when visiting Orlando.

I have to say I was a little wary after reading some reviews on here but after contacting Trish through email I begun to feel a lot more positive; she was a gods send, answering all questions, ensuring we had the best stay possible - for anyone who's questioning staying here, contact her!

The hotel its self is great, we're (we check out in 2 hours) in building 5, 14th floor meaning we get to watch the fireworks each night from Disney - its not an amazing view purely due to the distance but its good enough for the kids & thats what matters.

The shuttles were fine, only once did one run late due to thanks giving day traffic but thats to be expected. The hotel shop is a little expensive but typical hotel prices nothing you wouldn't find any where else.

The outlet is small but I found some brilliant deals in the Nike, Hilfiger & GAP shop to do have a look. The one day we went shopping I brought 2 pairs of Nike trainers (1 for me & 1 for my son), a GAP hoodie for my daughter & a Tommy Hilfiger thick winter coat (for my son, perfect for English winters) all at unbelievable prices - when translated into pounds it worked out to only be £80 for all of it!! & none of was last seasons items or things nobody wanted.

Could the hotel improve? Yes & no. Overall they're doing a brilliant job with things, but I do feel the Wifi could be improved & that an extra night time shuttle from Disney should be added, we found that 6:20pm meant we didnt get much done but 10:30pm was too late & cold (in Nov) for small kids, one about 7/8pm would of been ideal.

Would I come back? Yes in a flash!

We took all our kids and my nephew (7) and reserved a 3 bedroom suite/2 bath. The room was very spacious and, plenty of bathrooms, no one was crowded. It also has a kitchen to save money for those families! I would recommend this to all!

Room Tip: I would recommend you come early to this hotel as there is much for the kids to do from the pool out...

Recently returned from our holiday on 22 Nov 12. We were allocated the LBV because the Virgin NV hotel wasn't available. After a drive along International drive we were thank full that the NV wasn't ready because the area was noisy and looked very run down in places.
We had read the reviews of the LBV on here and promptly contacted the LBV to request building 5, on arrival we were greeted by friendly reception staff and found our room in building 5 on the 13th floor overlooking the pool. The 2 bedroom apartment was massive and would suit a family of 6 easily. The apartment was clean and well equipped , we noticed two very minor problems but these were sorted out by the reception staff within 1/2 hour of us contacting them.,
The pool and bar area were clean and tidy, my wife used the spa in the hotel and would definitely recommend this to any one with sore feet. The bar and restaurant in building 1 has a limited menu but still worth visiting especially if like to watch the sport -premier/champion league football can be watched whilst enjoying a vast array of beers.
Would recommend the LBV to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask for building 5. One side overlooks the pool and the other overlooks the highway but apparently...

This is a great property with the great location but the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. We left a day early even though we had prepaid for the room rather than sleep on these beds another night. After spending all day at the parks all we wanted to do was come back to rest, relax and recharge for the next day but these mattresses were worse than sleeping directly on the floor.

Another great trip, hot tubs and pool wonderful, store wonderful...they have EVERYTHING! Great Location, stocked kitchen and clean resort! A MUST STAY if you are looking for the comforts of home but in a resort style. Parking is adequate, not enough you may have to park on street.

Room Tip: All rooms are condo style and pretty much the same.
