“Great promo deal for family vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

We signed up to receive this 1 week promotion for timeshare at the Fountains from a kiosk in our local Bass Pro Shop. $699 for 7 days with $175 given to us in bass pro gift cards. I was skeptical about it since it seemed too good to be true and told the salesman that I had no intention of buying. I was told my wife and I just had to attend a 90-120 minute presentation no strings attached. After coming home I googled bluegreen and read all the negative comments about their sales staff and presentation and was concerned. We booked this vacation almost a year later during peak season Dec 26-Jan 2 despite my concerns.

We stayed in building 10 (newest on the property) in a 2 bedroom condo style suite. The suite was well appointed with a full kitchen, 2 full bathrooms and laundry. Our family shared the suite with another family and all 8 of us were (4 adults and 4 kids) comfortable. This time of year we were only able to go to their outdoor pool twice as the other days were too cold, but they also have an indoor outdoor pool which we used on those days it was too cold to go outside. They had fishing, basketball and a variety of children activities which we did not do.

Overall a great spot Pros: close to shopping and parks, excellent deal for the price, great amenities, staff were friendly and the site was very clean. The only cons were: if you do not have a pool view room the parking lot is not very attractive and pool towels were not available at the pool and were left in your room (meaning you had to either launder them or get new towels each day at the reception), and the "free" wireless was useless (extremely slow).

The presentation was fine. The sales staff were pleasant, we were never taken to a back room and were met with in an open space, we never felt pressured, but the staff tried hard to make a sale.

I have heard that some people with this promo were made to stay at other resorts or stayed in old rooms. That was definitely not our experience. I think that you get a higher priority if you take the 7 day promo versus a 2-3 day promo so there is less chance of a negative experience.

It would be good value at 150-200 per night, but as a promotion for under 100 per night it was great.

Room Tip: get 7 day promotion and ask for building 10 poolside view

Rooms were dirty and ant filled. Couldn't'get a kettle. Pots and pans flakes tephlon coating. Was told there was a kids activity the first night. The kids were excited. The greeted had the wrong night. It was the night before. Talked to management about all our problems and we got lip service. Member of bluegreen and regret it.RUN avoid anything bluegreen. They will take your money and won't provide service.

We have been to The Fountains three years in a row and absolutely love it! The rooms are very clean and cozy, location is close to all the popular attractions, service is great as is the food, but the pool (Wakoola Springs) is for sure the highlight!!! There are kids activities, music, games, a fantastic poolside bar, etc...it's a wonderful atmosphere. We tried going somewhere different for a few days last year but ended up going back to The Fountains for the last few days of our trip. We realized there is no sense staying anywhere else - you can't beat it here! We will absolutely go back again!!!

Room Tip: We love having a view of the Wakoola Springs Pool - buildings 6, 7 or 8 I think...and ask for a high...

Everyone has horror stories, but not us. This place was incredible! Two very spacious rooms w/private bathrooms. Great sized living room. So much room for a family of five on vacation. Staff was friendly...helpful...etc. Pools were amazing. Didn't want to leave. Only two things to consider: this is a timeshare property so they try to get you to take their tour; however, it was very low pressure. We declined the tour & they were gracious. Second...ask for a renovated room. I guess they are remodeling & some units are "older". We had a renovated unit & it was beautiful. Definitely recommend this to anyone. Last thing...pretty convenient location to all attractions. Furthest drive was 15 minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for remodeled room on upper floors. Less noise above you.

We were here Sunday evening through Friday morning and used the place mainly as a base camp for day trips to the coast and Epcot. It wasn't until Thursday that we got around to exploring the property, hanging out and decompressing.
Our room was on the top floor of Building 6 at the north end of the property and afforded us a spectacular view of the inner lake and its cabana bar and restaurant.
Our visit was the consequence of a Bluegreen sampler package that we bought a year ago at Big Cedar on Table Rock Lake, Missouri. Our first choice was the Bluegreen property in the Florida Keys, but it was booked. In retrospect, we're glad it was because the Orlando property is a real gem and is situated in the middle of one of the greatest entertainment complexes in the world.
My wife has back problems and I worried that we might end up with a bed that aggravated things. Our room (6710) had the most comfortable bed I've experienced in all my travels.

Stayed for 3 nights. 2 bed/2bath Originally directed to this hotel for a timeshare presentation and since we were going for SeaWorld we decided to cash it in. If you are cashing in the time share you will have to upgrade for $100 to be at the resort. It was worth all the amenities. You may purchase extra nights for about $99. That too was worth it since the rack rate was $169.

Amenities were great. We stayed at building 5. You could see disney fireworks from the front bedroom at the end of the night from the 5403 room. A very easy walk (less than 1 block) to the indoor outdoor pool building where the fitness center, steam room, sauna, bar, starbucks, restaurant, kids center, whirlpool, fire pit, fishing, paddle boat were located.

The resort has a soccer field, basketball court, large outdoor chess set, to the other side of the lagoon. You may miss it if you dont look out the window from an upper floor. Massages, tiki bars, restaurant, paddleboard rentals, waterslides were located at the main lagoon pool.

Rooms were beautifullly decorated, updated, clean, didnt find any dirt behind the headboard or under the couch. No hair in the showers or tub or bathroom floors. No dust was on the bedroom lamps or dressers. Great job cleaning.

Never had any issue with service including the timeshare presentation. The presentation takes 1 1/2 hours then you meet with the agent, If you have children with you they will be well cared for in the kids room and supervised. Games, toys and appropriate cartoons were on. You can probably but the timeshare deal at bluegreen online or where we got our Bass Proshop for $99. We were given an immediate $25 gift card to Bass Proshop and $75 worth of gift cards when we left.

Business/Family mini vaca

We had no room service(maid service) during our stay but there is a washer/dryer in the suite. Also a nice screen in patio that overlooks the paddleboat lake and firepit.

Room Tip: If you would like to stay in the building with the lagoon pool ask for it. However the amenities at...

I rented a 1 bedroom room for a week for my family of 4 and it was wonderful. The Resort was clean, the pools were great, and the parking was easy. The Kitchen had nice granite countertops, the stocked kitchen had most of what we needed when we choose to cook, and the Table was big enough to seat us and visiting family as well. The Balcony over looking the large pool was nice to dry out swim suits and see what activites were going on. The Club house was across the parking lot from out room and had a nice arcade, coffe/sandwitch shop, and below on the first floor was the other pool and deck area. We were very impressed with the bed, the bathroom was just right, and the jacuzzi tub was a big hit with the little ones. The location was close to Disney (less than 10 minutes) around the corner from SeaWorld, and one block from a premium outlet mall and walmart. I met many families who return here and never leave the property for other attractions due to the availibility of activites and I can see why. Overall I was very impressed, and plan to return.
