During our recent visit to WDW's Fort Wilderness Campgrounds we decided to visit the Magic Kingdom for dinner. We selected the Liberty Tree Tavern in Frontier Land. We did not have reservations but decided to try to have dinner there anyway. We arrived around 4:00pm and were told that without reservations we could not get in for dinner. However, the nice hostess at the door asked us to come back around 4:30pm to see if there had been any reservation cancellations. We came back at 4:15pm and began chatting with one of the staff members waiting at the entrance door. Learning where each of us were from and having visited his home in San Juan, Puerto Rico a few years back, we instantly achieved a warm reception from the staff member who said he thought he could get us in for dinner. Just a few minutes later, he came out and invited us in to make our reservation. Shortly thereafter, we were called to our table and experienced a very delicious family style meal. Roast beef, ham, turkey and dressing with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce were served to us as an "all you can eat" menu. We also had a delicious hot apple cobbler with ice cream to top off our outstanding meal. The waitress was very attentive and kept our glasses filled repeatedly. A great expectation turned out as we had wanted in celebration of our 45th wedding anniversary. Great food, great service and friendly wait staff.
