Description: "Boatwright's Dining Hall is a Southern, shipyard-themed casual restaurant serving dinner at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. It's a shipbuilder's paradise parked alongside the Sassagoula River that winds through the resort. This restored boat-construction warehouse features the large wooden hull of a fishing boat suspended from the ceiling, from which dangle rustic, rope-strung lanterns. Fantastic shipbuilding tools and artifacts adorn the high walls, while shop rags are used as napkins and tool boxes contain salt shakers. Fireplaces keep the vibe and the interior quite cozy. This popular table-service restaurant features Southern-style cuisine as well as American dishes imbued with the South. Savory entrees such as jambalaya and blackened red snapper, and more traditional fare like prime rib, pasta with shrimp and filet mignon, grace dinner plates. Southern sides and pecan pie round out the dining experience.A children's menu is available for dinner.

“I dont know where these other people ate...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

I was very careful in reviewing all current info on this restaurant before we made our reservations. All seemed high. Well, I do not know where these people ate, but this was by far the worst restaurant in all of Disney. There was not many people in the restaurant, but we were late being seated. We waited 20 min for a waiter to arrive. I cant believe we waited, but with small kids at 8:00,where were we going to go? The food came out mostly cold, slow and BAD. Worst menu I have ever seen. We have been vacationing at Disney for many years, and I will never go back. Please be careful and go check out the restaurant before you go. Or better yet, go anywhere else.

“Average Food, Average Experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

While staying at Riverside, we decided to dine at Boatwrights for the convenience. My mother and I both ordered the prime rib and although it was cooked the way we ordered, it was just average in the taste department. The meat seemed tough and the port wine sauce was very salty. The cornbread served before the dinner was quite good. Overall, it was an average meal for an above average price.

“Good food and great service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

Good homestyle food, although our 5 year old wasn't too keen on the kid's menu. Used the dining plan.

“I expected more.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

The menu seemed quite exiting, and the food was ok. But it seemed lacking in something that I couldn't put my finger on. The prices were higher than expected, but this is Disney! Yes the food was ok but just not exciting enough to match the price that you were paying.
Worth a visit to try it out,. I don't think you would go twice.
