“Chef Mickey's Birthday party”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

We had dinner here as a birthday party for a 3 year old - PERFECT venue for this. The buffet not only has the greatest mac and cheese for kids (and adults) but has an excellent selection of seafood, I had scallops, peel and eat shrimp and mussels. There is also yummy garlic mashed potatoes, and a baked potato with all the fixings. The carved beef is also a winner. Of course, there is the dessert bar afterwards - all in smaller portions for kid size, and adult tasting.

Keep in mind this place is a little pricier due to all the characters that come to your table - but it is worth it for a special event.

You also get your picture taken in the beginning with Mickey - and you can purchase these when they bring them to your table - you are also able to take a picture with your own camera - no pressure, but a very nice layout of pictures.

We have been here many times and enjoy the atmosphere and the food - very high energy and the staff is always wonderful.

“Always Great for the Kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

This restaurant/buffet is great for the kids with characters always keeping the kids occupied.

The food for a buffet is quite good and always fresh. The wait staff is accustomed to the kids and deals with screaming children quite well and does everything they can to keep them in check and the parents comfortable.

The wait is sometimes an issue as the character dining can be horrendous. Our wait was minimal this trip and made our dining quite enjoyable.

“Great breakfast choices, characters were awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

We had the character breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We were beyond pleased with the food choices. Our waiter was excellent and made sure our glasses were kept full of juice and coffee. Quickly removed plates too. Restaurant was very clean and line through buffet moved smoothly with food constantly being stocked. The character interaction at this character meal was fantastic. ALL of the characters made great connections with the kids, not just a quick take a picture feeling. We never felt rushed and food was great. Would recommend for breakfast again. We have done the dinner before and prefer the breakfast at Chef Mickey's.

“Let down.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

We went here for a breakfast. To begin we had to wait 20 or so minutes beyond our reservation, which is frustrating with a 3 year old. The front desk service were rude and not up to cast member standards. One would think paying 30 bucks a head for breakfast that the cast could pretend to act like they valued your business.. I have tried other character breakfasts and this was the worst. If you want a good experience try the Crystal Palace or my favorite Ohanas. On the positive the characters were excellent and really interacted with my child. The food was so-so. The Mickey waffles were fun but the other foods were just OK. Our server was nice but forgot everything and had to be asked multiple times for drinks or mere cream for coffee. I don't like that they pack families in together. I felt like I was in a cafeteria not a high priced restaurant. I wish I would have stuck with the favored Ohanas instead. I would advise parents looking for memories to try elsewhere.

“Characters Great, Food Not”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Grandkids loved the character photo/autograph OP. Large buffet, mediocre food. Scrambled eggs overcooked to death; hard to find actual sausage in sausage gravy. Service OK. If you don't have a bunch of kids along, don't bother.
