We've been to Disney World 4 times, 1st was 10 yrs ago and the latest was after the New Year, and each visit we make it a tradition to go to Chef Mickey's--it's been that enjoyable! This time, I thought the food was not as good as I remembered and very expensive for the average breakfast buffet food. There was no omelet, or cooked-to-order egg station that they have at other character breakfasts, and I agree with another reviewer who said the characters seemed more rushed--it wasn't that busy for us either. It was my twin girls' birthday and although our server brought out a cupcake for each of them, he might as well have tossed it at them. He quickly lit the candle, and left. He was very rushed the whole time and it felt like they were trying to get people in and out, which they know once everyone sees the 5 characters, they can get them out. We also had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, in the Grand Floridian hotel. That was a great buffet, had a made-to-order egg/omelet station, not as expensive and the characters were great. They didn't have Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald (the usual team that's at Chef Mickey's), but we saw Pooh, Tigger, Alice, and Mary Poppins--sometimes they have the Mad Hatter--he just wasn't there when we went.
This last experience probably made it our last at Chef Mickey's, unfortunately.
