“Low key character dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

The Garden Grill restaurant offers plentiful opportunities for character interaction in a rather more relaxed setting than many other character dining experiences. The restaurant gently revolves past scenes from Living with the Land, which is interesting to look at when the characters aren't around.
The bread with maple butter was very well received by our group. The fillet of beef brought out with the mains appeared to be on the rare side of medium, but was tender and juicy. The fish with tomato compote was well cooked and tasty. Creamy masked potatoes finished the main. We shared 2 platters between 6 of us, which was more than enough, and were then presented with 2 fruit cobblers topped with a scoop of vanilla cream.

“Okay...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

We've done the Garden grill before but not in a few years. We decided to book it way in advance as it is alway super booked up. As we were travelling with a child this year we decided to book it. We booked for 6.40pm so it allowed time for the firework. We were just on time aswell after getting stuck on the boat ride underneath!

We were seated on a booth for 6 which was nice but a bit of squeeze with adults but was fine. We started with Cobb salad which we were given two large bowls full which was very yummy and some bread rolls. We were then brought out a selection meats with accompaniments. When we travelled here before i remember a larger selection of vegetables.

Kids platter was disappointing, even though healthier chicken drumsticks were difficult to eat and chicken pieces would of been easier. Also normal fries would of been a better option than sweet potato.

In the past the server kept coming to replace the plates asking if we wanted more of certain items however we were only asked at the end if we wanted anymore which took ages to come out and wasn't worth it.

The dessert was nice but considering we were a table of 6 the server should of given us more than one pudding to dish up. He did offer at the end but by then it was too late.

I'm not sure if it was just really busy but the service and food seems to have gone down hill since we last came about 4 years ago.

It very experience considering the food and service but you are paying for the characters. Which was amazing as this was the first time the little girl had met any of the character. It's nice to have a bit of time with direct character interaction.

“Excellent! Love this character meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

The food is excellent. Great character to guest ratio. Relaxing meal. Did I say the food was excellent??? So delicious. I love that it's family style as well. I am afraid to book other character meals because I am afraid I will be dissapointed. Some of the other character meals sound loud and chaotic. This was the opposite. The decor is a bit outdated, but it doesn't really bother me. I will book a meal here every time I go to Disney. I wish the prices weren't so high though ($35 for an adult).

“Great time with Chip and Dale, friends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

We had our first dinner here. Really good food - enjoyed the family style service. Interestingly, the bread rolls really stood out as well as the tenderloin served. It was actually a quality cut and done right - median rare to medium. Only minor thought was there was no gravy with the turkey_stuffing but that was minor. Realy liked the berry cobbler served in a skillet. All the characters made the rounds and the moving restaurant was cool.

“One of our favorites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

We love this place - the food and services are great! It is all you can eat so don't leave hungry. They will bring you more of what you want so just ask. The characters are in a bit of a hurry (more so than other character dinings), but still quite fun. The rotating restaurant makes the atmosphere more unique & entertaining. We'd recommend you take the boat ride directly under the restaurant before you dine (the restaurant rotates above the ride).
