“Oysters, steamed shrimp, beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

We used to go to Lee and Rick's all the time for the best raw oysters this side of Apalach. Then several years ago things started to go downhill. The place wasn't kept up, the bar was more chipped concrete than paint, restrooms were filthy and we just got the feeling the managers and servers were a bunch of crack heads. The last straw was when our server looked like he was overdosing/convulsing while he attempted to shuck our oysters. He would shuck a couple and then double over in pain; he got through maybe half a bucket then threw the rest in the trash and asked us if we wanted anything else. We didn't and we left; would've complained but the lady we assumed was the manager witnessed what was going on and disappeared into the back room. Fast forward a few years and after reading positive reviews on TA, we decided to give it another try...much improved... actually looked like there was a fresh coat of paint on the building and bar area, servers were mostly friendly and efficient as they could be considering shucking is labor intensive and they had a good sized lunchtime crowd. We went through a bucket of raw ones and a pound of steamed shrimp, all very good and really the only two menu items worth going here for. Lunchtime prices are a real deal; $5.95 dozens, $15.95 buckets and $2.50 Yeungling drafts can't be beat. Happy to see that one of our local favorites seems to be back on track; hope it stays that way.

“BEST PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN FOR OYSTERS”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

The atmosphere of this place is unreal - when you first pull up to it, it looks a little sketch, but head to the basement and the OYSTER PARTY IS ON FULL FORCE!!! Make sure you sit at a bar to get a bit of a discount on a bucket of oysters AND to get a full view of all the shucking. TIMMY IS THE BEST!!!

“Holy Oysters Hatman! This place rocks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

It's hidden. It's hard to find unless you seek it out, but it's amazing! The best fresh oysters shucked fresh right in front of you with all the crackers, sauces, lemon, horse radish, and beer at prices that are amazing! If you love oysters do not MISS this! Great and friendly staff and absolutely delicious oyster bar!

“A great hidden seafood restaurant. Well respected in Orlando, FL.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

I have eaten at Lee and Rick's a few times now. Usually when they do Oyster bucket specials because I am uaually pretty frugal with my money ;-). Lee and Rick's is what I would consider a high quality dive oyster bar ( But I mean that in a positive way ). When you enter, you almost feel like you are entering an under ground cave, and the everything is very casual.

The key is, you don't go there for an upscale meal, you go there for good quality seafood, friendly helpful staff, and reasonable prices. If you were to ask anyone in Orlando, FL about Lee and Rick's, they would tell you that it is a highly repected, and long time casual seafood restaurant in Orlando, FL. I highly recommend it for a good quality casual seafood restaurant.
