“Roomy & Convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2010

Stayed in 3 bedroom villa. Everything updated. Staff attended to issues, broken toaster, leaking ceiling in bathroom(party in jacuzzi-upstairs) and any other request. Lots of room, full kitchen, lanai, W/D, dining room, flat screens, DVD player, just like home. 10-15 minutes to all Disney Parks, very easy access. Use of Marriott World hotel facilities as well. Business center costs$$$, very annoying.

Stayed there last week with five friends. More than enough room for six of us. Loved the screened in porch, huge living room and kitchen. The grounds are very nice and guests have access to the Marriott World Center facilities which are walking distance or a quick free shuttle ride away. The pool at the World Center hotel was absolutely gorgeous with great bar/restaurant service. We also had dinner at the Italian restaurant there one night when we didn't want to drive off site. Very nice place to stay! Highly recommend.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2010

We came up to Disney during possibly one of the most busiest times of the year... Fourth of July weekend. We stayed here for a week, and we checked in the Friday of Fourth of July weekend. Check-in time was 4 PM, our room wasn't ready untill 5:15. But it was fine, because we took advantage of the many hotel amenities. There was an Ice Cream Social, in which you pay $5 and you get an ice cream sundae. Only downfall, it was the most anti-social ice cream social I've ever been to, and you can't create the sundae yourself. While still waiting, we played basketball, ping-pong, and shuffleboard. We took the convenient hotel shuttle upto the "World Center" and hung by the pool. There was a live DJ, an all american BBQ, and tons of games. There was a hula-hoop contest, a dance contest (one for kids, and one for parents [start practicing those Lisa Lisa moves!] and even a pool-wide volleyball game! Not just any volleyball game... The volleyball is the size of a human-sized hamster cage. Half the pool against the other half, whoever wins gets a handfull of arcade tokens! (Word to the wise, hit the ball with your fist, not your palm).

Once the room was ready, we unloaded the truck. It was a gorgeous room, just a tad dusty. We had a three-bedroom suite. The bedrooms with the queen and king bed were a little stiff, the bedroom with the two twins, those beds were so soft, you sank in them. So, you had the best of both worlds. Can't tell you about the sofa beds, we didn't use them. The kitchen was fully stocked with silverware and cookware, so you can cook a meal if you don't have the funds to go out to eat every night. (Another word to the wise, bring your own pillow. The ones at the hotel are very small, and very uncomfortable... or maybe I just have a big head)

The hotel food court is great, just a tad over-priced. Then again, everything in the hotel is over-priced. The fact that I paid $6.95 for a large water bottle is mind boggling. Try and stop by a Publix before you get to the hotel, and stock up on whatever you may need. There's not one far from the hotel. It's 5 minutes away, right behind the Prime Outlet mall. (If you continue down the road towards the Golden Corrall, pass that and head towards Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine, follow that road and it's past the old Flea Market/Dolly Parton dinner experience on the left hand side).

The great thing about the hotel too, is it's location. It's central, and literally 5 minutes from Disney.

I would definately stay here again, and recommend this to a friend. Just a few things could be fine-tuned, but aside from that, I had a great time.

We stayed at the Marriott Imperial Palms for our kids’ first trip to Disneyworld. We traveled with my wife’s parents as well, so we chose this hotel because of the 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom feature. Our kids are ages 6 & 2, so we needed a little bit of room for them to run around and this room had it and more!

The resort is located within minutes of Disney, so that makes it very convenient to go to and from the parks with minimal time wasted. We chose not to stay on the resort so that we didn’t have to continually eat out…this room and a full kitchen (and I mean FULL). It included a full-size refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, coffee pot, plus all the dinnerware, dishes, and utensils you could ever need!

The master bedroom was massive with a Jacuzzi tub and a double vanity with separate shower/toilet area. The 2nd bedroom had access directly to the 2nd bathroom and had a queen size bed with a fold out couch as well. Plenty of room! The 3rd bedroom was of course the smallest with 2 twin beds, but it worked out perfectly for our kids to sleep in that one. All of the bedrooms had TV’s in them (4 total in the place!)

Also in the room was an 8-person dining room table, a breakfast bar, and living room furniture. This place really has everything you could ask for. The grounds included many things to do (tennis, multiple pools, golf course, etc.), so you will never be bored.

We happened to get a very good rate on this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking in the Orlando area.

Cons:The units are roomy but the decor is not very pleasant and in some details you get the feeling that the units are old ( although thy aren't ). The air conditioning is noisy.

Pros: Location is very good if you're going to Disneyworld. The staff was very helpful. The resort has a pleasant feeling to it although I did not use any of the facilities.

If you are looking for space, good location and service for a good price this may be for you, but I am going to look for somewhere more comfortable next time.

When looking for a hotel, I usually always book a top 25 hotel in Trip Advisor, but I took a chance worth taking on this hotel which is rated so low you would never find it unless you were specifically looking for it. I think it's low rating is due to the fact that these are huge three bedroom villas with more than 1600 sq feet of space and most people looking for a hotel are not looking for that. The entire hotel has been renovated since the last user submitted photos, it looks just like the photo's on Marriotts website. The staff at the Imperial Palm Villa's is super friendly, if you want to head over to the world center, the shuttle usually arrives in less than 5 minutes of requesting it. For the rest of my review I will just do a quick listing of the goods and the bads:

Goods:
The staff was super friendly and very helpful
Great location within 10 minutes of Disney, Seaworld, and Universal. Walmart Supercenter (with huge Grocery section) within 5 minutes. And very close to nice restaurants if you are looking to splurge.
Lots of room that is great for traveling with lots of people or friends. Master bedroom is huge, but the other two rooms are more than large enough.
Kitchen is fully stocked and outdoor gas grills are available for free
Housekeeping is the best ever, they even clean your dirty dishes!!!
Computers with printers are available for free, so you can print your boarding pass before you leave.
The pools / hot tubs are great! We were here in the second week of September so it was off season and we often had the pool to ourselves.
The drivers of the shuttle service between resorts were friendly and funny
The World Center Bar has quality drinks.
Starbucks and Enterprise rental on premise of World Center

The Bads
The wireless internet sucked, it may have been our location to the WIFI, but I just tethered my phone so it wasn't a big deal.
Some parts of the room were dated, but overall not too noticeable
Only one TV is a flat screen, the rest are older tube style (not that bad, but worth noting).
The grills desperately need to be repaired, I went through four grill locations before I found one that kinda worked... The flames only went half way back, the lighters were broken, and the valve was missing on the one that worked!

All in all, if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't think twice about booking this hotel/timeshare. The only thing to note is that by the end of 2010 the Sable Palm Villas will be remodeled, and although they are smaller they should be nicer / more modern as they will be newer!
