“Roaches and Bugs!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

Looks nice on the surface but we made dinner one night to turn around and have two crawl right into our food in front of us. Called front desk, they sent someone right up, they also called exterminator for next day. Did no good. Got in the shower from long day at park and had one in the shower with me. Plus there were 2 flees in the tub in other room when my daughter went to take a bath. We ended up leaving a day early, just couldn't deal with the bugs. Great location for Disney parks though but very crowded and considering all the bugs, makes me worry about other things like how clean the pool water is...

We enjoyed WBC so much in October we decided to return again in April. Since it was my birthday and our anniversary (same day), we decided to splurge and stay at a presidential suite. All I can say is WOW! If we thought the standard suites are nice, the presidentials blew our ratings out of the water! From our quick, private check-in to granite countertops, no expenses was spared in making our stay absolutely fabulous ...

Room: Since all 2-BR presidentials are all located in Tower 6 and at least on the 9th floor or above, they are super quiet. The furnishings are absolutely gorgeous - dark cherry wood, granite countertops, etc. For the slight upcharge, it's WELL worth it!!! While our view wasn't grand (facing the parking lot/garage), it was quiet, private and away from crowds, so no biggie. Plus, we were able to see a bit of the fireworks when we leaned over our balcony. *bonus* The beds are super comfy, and the a/c works great - so long as you make sure you override the motion sensors.

Pool: While the pool and hot tub at Tower 6 was generally more populated than others, it was also the biggest, aside from the hotel pool, so we never felt "crowded." Note - unless your child is at least 48" tall, the pirate ship waterslide Gestapo will not allow passage, so don't even bother. You're allowed to check out as many towels as you like and exchange them for clean ones throughout your stay. Just make sure you return them so you're not charged.

Parking: We only had to park in the parking garage once during our 7-nt stay. Even then, it was no more than a 3-minute walk to the building.

Restaurant: We dined at the outdoor grill, and it was your typical sports bar fare. Nothing was spectacular but not bad either. We also dined at the deli next to the main resort entrance, and it was ok. VERY slow in delivery as there are only 2 attendants there - the cashier and the cook, and they have to cater to all the guests. I suggest going to 1 of the pool bars. You'll get quicker service and better food.

Activities: Since we're there for Disney World, we didn't participate in any of the resort activities and didn't really see many folks who did. Most activities (i.e., ice cream social, arts/crafts do have a charge).

Location: You can't possibly get better location to/from Disney parks than this ... unless you're staying onsite, of course. Otherwise, WBC is right in the middle of everything, and aside from AK, everything is <5 minutes away, and the drive is a piece of cake ... this is from someone who gets lost in my own backyard.

A few notes ...

1. Don't bother requesting rooms/locations/views, etc. WBC no longer honor any requests (nor do they even put it in their system).
2. Splurge a little and go for presidential suite. You won't regret it.
3. Have your groceries ordered and delivered before you arrive by Garden Grocers. It's the best thing we did. They have an agreement w/ WBC that they'll deliver before we arrive and leave it in WBC's cold storage, so as soon as we checked in, the bellhops brought up our groceries. Easy as pie. Saved us a TON of money.
4. There are 3 of us, and we go through a TON of laundry, and the 4 packets of detergent available were plenty to get us through the week.
5. There are plenty of extras in the suites that make your life easy ... dishwashing detergent, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, small salt/pepper shakers, a few packets of coffee, coffee filters, tea, hot chocolate, etc. They think of everything here. Love it.
6. Make sure you override the a/c or place a helium balloon in the room; otherwise, it will stop working when there's no motion in the room.

Overall, we love this resort and would go back again and again.

Room Tip: Get a presidential suite. It's well worth the upcharge.

Was able to get a great deal renting a Timeshare from an owner. Was able to bring the entire family staying in a 3 bedroom. Lots to do at the hotel but the best part was having the Disney pickup right outside the hotel. Really made it easy to get around and didn't require a rental car. Pool area's were great and each tower had something different to offer. Watching the firework show from the balcony was also a great benefit to the stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a view so you can see the fireworks if available.

This place was awesome. The grounds were perfect. The pools were OK. The staff were very helpful and took good care of us. We had an awesome two weeks there and could see ourselves going back again. They even had outdoor grills to cook on which we did. The only negative would be that the maid staff were a little flaky. I'm not sure if I had the same person cleaning my room but they'd do weird stuff like not put bags in the barrels or one time forgot to leave coffee after me leaving a decent tip the day before with a note asking for extra coffee. Clearly we liked coffee. That was minor though. We loved it there.

Room Tip: If you can get a room facing the fireworks you'll have a much better time.

Going to Florida is busy so having this room which is barely in use is brill! Stayed with family for the second time, the on site restaurants are lovely, have great food with good portions for the prices but room service requires 18% gratuity. Good range of activities for kids and a selection of pools which are very clean but surrounded with birds (downfall).
In each room there is meant to be Wifi but our 8th floor room only got wifi while standing next to the door. Apart from that each room had a TV with many entertaining channels. Rooms should be cleaned more often by hotel staff as this only happened once over our 2 week stay.

We stayed here for a week in August, in a 3 bedroom deluxe. We liked the room, and the layout was great. The halls were loud, and one night the room 2 floors down was having a great time on their balcony at 12. Security did get them to move inside. I did not enjoy the stay or the amenities. The resort does not have a safe feel, and kind of scary. The pools were very crowded and cigarette smoke was abounding. We had a 9th floor view of a parking lot and some trees. Do not let them give you a room that does not face the lake. All of the pools are in the middle. I will not stay here again.

Room Tip: Lake view only. Higher then 12 floors.

I have stayed here 2 before this one and all I can say is it's not the same. First you can't even request what view you want. So this year I was in building 2 on the 4th floor with a parking lot view. Then when we checked into our room the air was broke, so after waiting 2 hours a guy came and just cut the power to the air in the fuse box and left. needless to say it wasn't fixed. So I called at 7am and at 1pm somebody finally came to really fix and after 2 hours of taking it apart it was finally working. Then the pools were over crowed in the day so we had to wait until 7 or 8 pm to go to the pool. Then you have to sign out pool towels and these were the worst towels in creation. We just used the bath room towels. The on Wednesday there was construction on the road way it just the worst stay i have had here. i guess nothing last forever, my love affair with Bonnet Creek is over.

Hi Darrius,

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the air conditioning in your room. We are glad maintenance was finally able to resolve this issue. As you may know, we have many units at our resort which house a large number of guests who utilize our property amenities such as the pool. Your feedback is important to us and helps us improve in many areas.
