“Great stay for family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Great location, close to all theme parks, Epcot is the closest. The 1-BR unit is spacious and comfortable, with fully equipped kitchen (if you need chopsticks, bring your own). The bed is good for 2; sofa is not really suitable for sleeping. The room has both shower and bathtub, but we didn't use bathtub as it's right next to the bed, no door. The only problem is that air-conditioner is a bit loud. Make sure to bring toilet items as the resort only provides complimentary items for 1st day. Free parking.

2nd visit with my family and our last. At check-in, we were treated very shabbily by the staff. Worse than I have ever been treated before at any resort. We requested a room with a pool view and were told repeatedly that such views were reserved for the resort owners - understandable but the manner in which the message was delivered is what made it very disturbing. To think that we paid more to stay at this resort - from the very many choices there are in the area only to be greeted with such disrespect. I tried to reason with the folks at check-in and told them I had reserved 2 months in advance and requested a pool view at the time. The fellow that assigns the rooms went even further in his disrespect having the audacity to tell me that the owners reserve 16 months in advance. If this hotel stay had not been prepaid, I would have left immediately! During our stay last Christmas, the resort was obviously more busy and we were given a choice of rooms. This year I guess the folk in charge think it is their prerogative to disrespect guests who are prepaid and refuse them the option of choice.
I have never experience this before. They completely stonewalled and made absolutely NO attempt to accommodate my family in any way whatsoever. Having spent the previous two nights at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Hotel next door, the difference in courtesy and customer service could not have been more stark. The saddest fact is that during our stay, I witnessed hordes of guests being taken on tours of the facility and been treated with much deference and respect and I couldn't help but wonder that the line of courtesy must only be extended when the resort hopes to gain something from a guest. Once they have taken your money I guess there is no longer any obligation on their part to afford courtesy.

We eventually were able to secure a room with a view - and only when I advised the check in manager that guest do have recourse in this age of social media and feedback. It was only then that he IMMEDIATELY released a room with a view to my family after having argued with him for a good number of minutes. Truly shocking.

Room Tip: Make sure you are an owner if you want to be treated with ANY courtesy at this resort.

We just returned from our trip & I can't wait to write this review!! The Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort was FANTASTIC! We stayed in tower 4 in a 1 bedroom unit and it was more than we expected! The furnishings were VERY nice (and I am picky!) EVERYTHING was in perfect condition!! The bathroom setup is GREAT if you have more than 1 getting ready since the shower and toilet are in their own room with a sink, plus the washer/dryer in the closet....then the GIANT jetted tub is in the master (but not in a cheesy way, it was in the master yet sort of off on its own hall) plus there is another sink next to the tub!

The unit is setup in a great way since you can access the toilet/shower from the dining area then walk through the door and enter into the tub area and the master (beware: toddlers will make this into a great running path! ours loved it!)

The kitchen was FULLY stocked with a nice Cuisinart coffee maker, a full set of stainless pots/pans, a GOOD nonstick pan, baking dishes, a cookie sheet, 3 mixing bowls, glass baking.serving dishes, all the silverware and serving utensils you would need....they also provided a wine corkscrew and nice wineglasses that were a good weight...there were glass and plastic glasses...this place really has it all!!

They even provided 3 loads of soap for the dishwasher and the washing machine!

The bath toiletries were nice too and had a great smell of woodsy pine but not overwhelming...

NOW to the location!! OH MY GOODNESS...you CANNOT get more convenient!! This hotel is right on the Disney property and next to many of the Disney properties you pay way more for and only get a hotel room!! The view from our room was of the lake in the center of the hotel and it was a beautiful site! I cannot wait to return when it is warmer so we can be outside on the property more!

One day my baby was sick so my husband took the 3yr old out and they toured the property and had a great time! the giant chess was a hit! along with the playground...they also had a show with a big boa & alligator that was fun!

When I was trying to book a hotel I was really concerned about a shuttle to Disney. I am uploading photos of the schedule we had when we were there, you will see the shuttle is NOT an issue!! It is SO convenient! It does not stop at any other hotels and takes you directly to the park!! This was SO nice! We timed it one time and it took us 8 minutes to get to where we were going! They state no strollers but once I called they just said you had to fold them up...so that was no problem. The shuttles are also prepared to take wheelchairs or scooters too (but just 1 per shuttle since the space was limited).

My husband and son ate in one of the restaurants for bfast and said it was good. They even provided gluten free toast for my son!! However, it was a bit pricey at $40 for bfast for 1 adult and 1 3yr old...but my husband did say they had some sort of buffet that would've been cheaper..we just couldn't do that due to food allergies.

The location of the hotel is also very convenient should you need to go out in town. We went to a Whole Foods which took about 15 mins or so...there is a GREAT Premium outlet nearby that had some good deals with good brands!! We even had to take the baby to an urgent care and it was super close and open 8am-midnight!

The checkin was a BREEZE...they did ask us to come for a presentation. We had planned to go since they offered free bfast while you listened! and then they gave you either a $100 AMEX or $125 resort credit...BUT since the baby got sick we didn't go....they did call a few times but no other bother.

We will FOR SURE stay here next time we go to Disney or anywhere in this area!!

Room Tip: Get a lagoon view! It is beautiful all day and night long!

As a travel bird, this coop isn't bad as a place to perch yet rather steep when settling up all the extra fees. Pet friendly resorts usually offer less than grand accomodations but this resort is clean and the bedding is plush, (Coincidence or planned since the heat did not work in the room and the temperatures dipped down into the 30s). Ammenities are geared toward families so if you are single or mature with a pet, keep seeking alternatives, though experience has taught me that options are extremely limited. Speaking of limited, dining options are as well unless you drive a mile or two to downtown Disney. For close to $400 a day, this bird expected more.

Room Tip: Bring a car and lots of green.

Six building complex. Three newer buildings and three older. Newer are buildings 4,5 and 6. We stayed in building six. Recommend building six. Very nice pool complexes behind each of the new buildings plus the two hotels. Lazy rivers and hot tubs. Pools heated. Food as in most resorts is expensive. Staff ,nice and helpful. However time share salesmen pester you during your stay.
Resort close to the Disney parks. Resort provides transport to the Disney parks.
We had over hour and a half wait to get our one bedroom apartment due to how busy the resort was during the Christmas holiday.

We were totally amazed with this resort. We got it for a fantastic rate of less than $100 a night. So much space (well appreciated with two teenagers), well equiped, a great view of the lake, SOOO close to the parks, great parking, wonderful pools, I could go on and on. We all loved it and will definitely stay here again. If you've got kids and like to have a kitchen and save money it's a no brainer to stay here.

This place is awesome. For such a large resort, everything was very clean and organized, and ths service was great. Stayed in a 1BR Presidential Unit, it was probabally the nicest room i've ever stayed in and i've been to Four Seasons' and Ritz Carltons. The location is fantastic too! Its on Disney Property, right next to Carribbean Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, and less than a minute drive to Downtown Disney. If you stay at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort as timeshare property, you also have access to the Wyndham Grand Resort which is the hotel. The hotel is by far the best option for couples. The gym at the hotel is also extremely nice. Will be returning in 2013, cannot wait!

Room Tip: Request High Floor next to the Hotel, very convenient location as the two buildings are connected by...
