“Great Resort, but terrible restaurant service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2011

This resort is great! They have everything you need right there on site. The weather was perfect when we went in the middle of March. The lazy river was very inviting with the exception of children playing in the water without the tubes to float on. They have great swimming pools and a place where little ones can get wet without going into deep water. There was one bad thing I can say about the resort and that was the service in the restaurant/bar in tower 2. We ordered from there twice and they got our order wrong both times. The first time it was no chicken on the chicken salad and the second time breadsticks instead of nachos. We went to pick up our food the second time after the half hour they told us and it took another half hour to get the food. The food itself is excellent but the service was bad! That is the only bad thing about the resort. The staff was excellent also. I would recomend this resort to anyone!

Room Tip: reserve early! year in advance

My family and I loved the Bonnet Creek Resort. We went to Orlando for my husband's conference and having just had a baby, decided to accompany my husband.
The resort was great. We stayed at Tower 5 in unit 291 and loved it. Everything was wonderful. It was easy to get around and they had plenty to offer for the kids. I spent some time with my 5 year old at the Disney parks and with both kids at Downtown Disney but the resort was great. We went to the lazy river pool, pirate ship slide, splash water park and Escudos ...the pool bar to grab drinks and snacks. There is a walkway that goes out onto the lake and you can enjoy the ducks etc as well as the beauty of each tower and its architecture. Beautiful place to visit and wonderful place to stay.
The only complaint I have is that people were rude and kept the baggage rollers in their rooms overnight at checkout. That is not the resort's fault...just people can be rude like this in general. I look forward staying at this place again in the future. We have stayed at Disney villas etc...and this is hands down better. It is a Disney partner and inside Disney gates so it is very accessible to all parks. Everything is so close by. I love this place! Everyone was so nice!

We absolutely loved the Bonnet Creek Resort. It was located near the disney parks and even offered shuttles. The rooms were fully equipped and incredibley spacious, perfect for a family. The pools were nice, and it was great to have the playground, minigolf and childrens activities for the kids. My husband loved the golf at the Waldorf Astoria next door, it was a great course and easy to get a tee time. We will definately return here again, as the value was great compared to the quality of room available in the Disney hotels.

This is a "no brainer" I highly recommend this condo resort. After spending hours researching, I purchased a week from an owner. The resort felt secure and clean. We stayed in a two bedroom unit in building three with a view of the lake, pools, and the fireworks from both Epcot and Magic Kingdom. This
place was by far better than a hotel with plenty of space for the family. The location was great. We were at the Disney parks all day, every day of our stay, so I couldn't say much about the activities at the resort. I look forward to our next stay at WBC.

Writing this after a 7 day stay at Bonnet Creek. The timeshare/ hotel looks great. Large rooms, balcony, nice pools, and very clean. The timeshare sales people were a bit annoying but, after we unplugged the phones we never heard from them again. Here's where the resort falls apart. It took 2 service calls to get things fixed. The big one was that the A/C would not cool down below 72 degrees. The repair person came and replaced the battery. I asked him to replace the filter which was caked with dust and pollen. He said he would but failed to on his return with the battery (we were not in the room on his return trip). Other issues, you need to unplug the phone to use the one wired Ethernet port in the room. No wireless, at least in Tower 5. It did work fine. Cannot open the blinds in the main room to the slider all the way because someone failed to put up a curtain rod that let's you push the blinds all the way to the right or left.

The whirlpool tub in the tower 5 (and most other units) looks like it will hold 2. It will not. It has two back rests but, the tub is too small for 2 adults. You have to be a VIP or premium owner to get newspapers delivered to your room. They are free at the front desk. A bit of a walk.

Lots of great activities for kids though we did not have any with us. If your neighbor upstairs had kids you could hear a number of bumps and noises from them. The beds were horrible with very firm mattresses. I woke up with a back ache every morning. All the beds in our unit where pretty much the same firmness.

The free buses to the WDW parks worked well. Ran on-time and were clean. Overall, it's good place. Just lots of annoying little things that keep it from being a 4 or 5 star resort. We got a great rate from an owner at redbook.com about 3 weeks before our trip started.

The size of the hotel itself is eye-opening and the staff couldn't be more accomodating upon check-in. Rooms were spotless and very quiet despite lots of kids as you are in Orlando. While we didn't get to the theme parks there are buses on-site to take you to the parks. Beautiful property with a lake, pools, miniature golf and restaurants. Had a nice lazy river running through property. Definitely great place to stay. My only complaint is we were high up in the building and could not get internet unless we went downstairs but that was really a non-issue for us as we enjoyed everything else.

My family and I have stayed here probably half a dozen times while we did Disney and Universal. We usually rent someone's time share to get a good deal. This usually ends up costing around $100/day for a suite with a balcony, a full kitchen and that sleeps 8. The place is like heaven. 2 lazy rivers, several amazing pools, a water playground for kids, some poolside bars and an inexpensive cafe. Many of the rooms at the top get amazing views of Disney attractions too! My sister's room had a view of Typhoon Lagoon, Downtown Disney, and you could see Space Mountain in the distance. We have watched
Illuminations and Wishes fireworks from the balcony on several
occasions! It is located literally minutes from everything. It's luxurious, friendly, inexpensive, and fun! Our room even had it's own washer and dryer! There's no reason to stay anywhere else!
