“Escape the other tourists for wonderful Thai food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2008

Just got back from a trip to Orlando and, on recommendations from other Trip Advisor reviewers, tried Red Bamboo. We had a wonderful meal with excellent, friendly service. The kids loved the chicken satay appetizer, served on a little grill at our table. Our meals were all delicious and beautifully presented. The bill for 2 nice appetizers and 4 of the pricier entrees came to about $65. The best part was the tasteful, quiet, atmosphere, with no other tourists in sight! Note: The restaurant can't be seen from the road, and there's no sign. It's near Universal, where International Drive crosses Kirkman Road. Head for the northeast corner of that intersection, via an entrance off International Drive. Look for Office Depot or Sweet Tomatoes (another excellent restaurant). Once you've come that far, look for Red Bamboo in the strip mall across the parking lot.

This Thai restaurant was fabualous, food is very fresh, tastes great, served beautifully and with pride. We loved the food and the owners, very nice. They make homemade coconut ice cream that is great, a few other flavors too!!

“Enjoyable Meal/Super Nice Service/GO!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2008

We were surprised at how quiet the restaurant was for as good as it is. We enjoyed the laab (chicken) and the yum nua (beef) - just spicy enough when we asked for it spicy. We wished they had made the curries a little spicier, but they were tasty too. The staff could not have been friendlier. If we lived in orlando we would be regulars - and if we go back to Orlando it will be top of our list.

“The Best Thai in Orlando”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2007

Red Bamboo is still the best Thai restaurant in Orlando...even though Niki has moved to Round Rock, Texas to open Thai Spoon. The Tom Yum soup is very good, but lacks some spice that Niki used. The curries are all very good, especially the green curry. The duck dishes are all good. Save some room for coconut or Thai tea ice cream...homemade and just wonderful. The service here is always impeccable. My only suggestion is: don't change NIki's recipes.
