I went to Vines with friends to enjoy good conversation and great food. We started with the grilled octopus. This was fantastic. It had excellent taste and texture. We then had the calamari. It was average at best. Onto the French onion soup. It was flavorful but there was barely any provolone and it did not cover the top of the crock. My main meal was the 12oz filet mignon($56) and had it Oscar style($16). My steak was ordered medium but came out with a raw center. I told the waiter to put it back on the grill for two minutes and bring it back. I then waited over 30 minutes to get my steak back. The Oscar was a small portion of a crab leg split and placed against the steak along with two asparagus stalks. I expected lump crab on top of the steak for such a high up charge. The manager stopped by and apologized as well as offer a free round of drinks and comp my dinner. I would have preferred that my steak come out right gage first time so I could have eaten with my friends. Overall, for what they charge, the food should be cooked properly and the staff should be attentive. They were not at all attentive and I won't be back.
