“Great for a large family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014 via mobile

Plenty of room for 8. The room is well laid out. The only complaint is the mattress on the sofa bed is very uncomfortable! You are better off to bring an air mattress. We had 7 adults and one child, it is a great place to stay.

The resort is gorgeous. We did not have a car and used the bus system. The bus system is fine. We allotted 45 minutes to get anywhere and we were never late and most of the time had less than a 10 minute wait for a bus. We stayed in the springs in a 2 bedroom villa #4411. The villa is huge. There are a lot of doors in the villa but it wasn't a big deal to us. We traveled with our four young children ages 2-6 and had plenty of room. We were supposed to stay at the Polynesian and switched two weeks prior to travel because of the monorail being down everyday 11-7. Thank god we switched because tuesday night one of our children got the norovirus and we all caught it during the week. The two bathrooms and in room laundry were vital during our stay. We love Disney and had been planning this vacation for a year. The maids were fantastic as our room was a complete disaster everyday. We are not dvc members-- thank goodness because housekeeping told us we would have had to pay for all the towels, linens, and cleaning our room required. We are disappointed that we had to literally beg for a late check out given our health situation. We will be spending our last few hours in the lobby near the bathroom. The excuse given is that the villas are booked and they need us out. I feel horrible for the people coming in after us.

Room Tip: The Springs is close to the main building, the hot springs pool, and a bus stop. It is the last sto...

Many thanks to my daughter-in-law for having a timeshare at Disney. 3 years ago Boardwalk - this year a Treehouse! Saratoga Springs at Disney World in Orlando, FL has a little known secret besdies the regular hotel and spa. They have another area - Treehouse accomadations. Yes, I said Treehouse, but not like any treehouse you've seen. When you go to the hotel you keep on going till you're driving into a wooded area and then there is the turn off for the treehouses. Yes, getting a bracelet was great. Made it easy to enter the property and the treehouse itself. No keys to look for. Same bracelet for the park is for your accomadations. The treehoiuse you rent is up in the air on 10' high stilts. So you park your car on the circle and you walk to your treehouse down a path (there are treehouses for the handicap that I saw with a ramp instead of the stairs going up). There is a large wooden staircase, not bad even for us at this age. Outside there is a wonderful deck and a bar-b-que. Ask for a view of the river. It was great sitting on the balcony seeing random boats going by rather then just looking at trees. Inside the treehouse was great. 3 bedrooms (1 king size bed, 1 queen size bed, 1 bunkbed), 2 bathrooms, livingroom & diningroom and a full open kitchen. Sleeps 9 as the couch and the chair in the livingroom pull out to be beds. Large flatscreen TV in each bedroom and a larger one in the living room. Kitchen had stove, dishwasher and full fridge with plenty of cabinet room for food. Comes fully stocked with plates, etc and if you don't have something (like a can opener) just call the operator and they bring it to you. Diningroom area has chairs on one side and bench on the other. They provided a highchair for us (4 kids). Bathrooms are great and there is an apartment size washer and dryer. All the decor was brown and about trees and branches. Even the light in the ceiling and the bathrooms. It was decorated wonderfully. What a fun place to take the kids rather then a plain hotel room. My son would take their van and go over to the main hotel at Saratoga Springs for the pool. They had a great time. Only prioblem is the buses. You need to take a bus (which has 2 stops inside the circle) and then goes to Saratoga Springs. You need to wait there for another bus to take you to Disney, Downtown Disney, Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. Make sure to make time for the bus. Or if you prefer you can take a boat from at spot at a dock insidet the Treehouse. If you're going to stay here you will need to go shopping for food. There are several places nearby but be ready for alittle higher price. The shop inside Saratoga Springs is not recommended. You can go to supermarkets (Goody or Publix) right ourside the entrance to Disney. We went to the one is Kissimmee as the prices were more resonable. Yes, you will be cooking and washing dishes and clothes, so if you are looking for an escape from house work - don't stay here. Also, the cleanners who came in only replaced the towels. They did not make the beds, they did not clean the bathrooms or kitchen at all. Don't know if this is how it should be done (hope not) or if we just got bad cleaning service. But the advantages for the kids, the fun at just being up there, hearing birds singing when you wake up, seeing boats going down the river, being able to be on the patio on a brisk fall day - well it was great.

Room Tip: get a Treehouse with a water view.

We are DVC members & this was our first stay with children. SSR is amazing! The grounds are well maintained and spread out to ensure privacy. We didn't get the chance to try out the pools but they looked like a blast. The bus system was never an issue and we did use the Magic bands without any huge snags in the road. It was great to be so close to Downtown Disney and we loved being able to see the DD hot air balloon at any given time from our room. Our one bedroom villa had plenty of space and loved the fact that we had a washer and dryer in the room. The bed and linens were very comfortable and it was great to have a separate bath and shower. Totally recommend this resort and we will definitely stay here again!

we took our family to Disney for the first time right after the 1st of the year. we enjoyed our stay at the Saratoga. our room was clean and roomy. my girls especially like how the cleaning staff would shape their blankets into charactors each day on the bed. very charming.

We happened to have an opportunity to use our daughters points at this resort recently. The rooms start at about $327.00 per night. Of course we did not pay that amount because of the time share arrangement. The room was very nice and clean. Although, someone before us had rubbed the table into the wall and caused the paint to chip off. Not a big deal. Well, we returned after our first full day at Disney to discover that the room had not been made up. At $327.00 per night! It seems that if you are there on a time share your linens and towels only get changed after the third day. Be aware. I'm not sure that if you pay the full amount if you get daily service. Something to check into. All in all the resort is very nice and the Turf Club Restaurant is very good. Good food and a friendly wait staff.

Room Tip: If you can get a room in the "Grandstands" you will be at the first bus stop to leave for...

The best resort by far for us. We spent Christmas week there. We stayed in a two bedroom villa and loved it. Plenty of room for a family of four. We had our Christmas tree up and all our gifts under the tree. The employees at the resort were wonderful and very helpful. We are DVC members and this is our home resort.

Room Tip: Congress Park is an excellent location. The smaller pool is out back and great for kids and people t...
