“My girls Loved”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2013

My Girls Loved meeting the princess, my 2 year old ate for free a almost 25.00 meal.
The Chicken was very tasty for the adults and Snow White and the Little Mermaid really out did themselves.
My 2 year old is a mermaid fan she spent so much time warming up to her Snow White had me convinced she was the real thing. I loved the whole experience.
Our server was wonderful and friendly as well.

“We liked it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

We were able to make last minute reservations for a Saturday dinner at 3 p.m. I made the reservations online on Thursday night. It is pricey. For our family of six it was close to $300. Even with reservations we had to wait about 30 minutes before being seated. Part of our wait time was outside and it was HOT. However, there were umbrellas outside to provide shade and the staff came out and offered everyone glasses of water, so that was appreciated. Once inside you get your pictures (max of four, two by Disney staff, two of your own) taken with a Princess. In our case it was Belle. Our server was quick and efficient. He explained how the dinner worked: Appetizers were a buffet, the meal was served to the table, dessert was included. Our family isn't afraid to try new things and there was enough variety at the appetizer bar for everyone to find something to eat including: peel and eat shrimp, various smoked fish and meats, creamy salads, green salad, and cheese and crackers. For dinner we had salmon, mac 'n' cheese, mushroom stuffed pasta and Norwegian meatballs. Everything was good. I thought we'd have to leave our 16 year-old-son there so he could eat everything again - he LOVED it! During the meal Ariel, Aurora, Mulan and Snow White visited our table for pictures and autographs. As always, they were so sweet and engaging. Even drawing our two boys into the conversations. Just before our dessert was served, the Princesses paraded around the dining hall with their Princesses in Training. It was very cute and happily all children were returned to their correct tables! For dessert we were served two identical sampler platters of chocolate mousse, something like strawberry shortcake, and something similar to tapioca. We all favored the chocolate mousse and the servings were such that we all got to sample all of the desserts. Also, during our meal a cast member brought to our table our photos, which were included in the price of our dining experience. There were two 8x10s, one of our family with Belle and one just with our youngest daughter and Belle. And four 4x6 photos of each pose. We didn't know this was included, so it was a pleasant surprise! We never felt rushed and once people started leaving our server, who of course was from Norway, gave our older son some information about Norway and how he came to work for Disney. For us it was a good experience.

“Food was gross. Experience was AMAZING!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

On our recent trip to Disney World we booked a dinner at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall for our daughters 4th birthday. The restaurant is very busy and it books early, so get your reservation as soon as you plan you trip! With dinner you get a beautiful photo taken with your family and the princess Belle. Which is quit a deal since those photos are expensive to buy from Disney. Your mean is a very "authentic" experience with flavors and dishes that are local to Norway. It is a different palate for our family and no one liked any of the food we had. My son and husband ordered the rack of lamb, both were cooked differently. One was very rare and one seemed overdone for lamb. My older daughter ordered the pork chop which was good, but very tough. I had the beef short rib, not much flavor and very tough as well. Our waitress was wonderful and even got a new order of meatballs for my son who really disliked the lamb, at no charge! She was very nice and easy to talk to!
Price wise the menu will leave you empty in the wallet if you are not on the dinning plan, our meal was $250 for the 5 of us (which includes one child).
The princesses are WONDERFUL! They stop at every table and sign autographs and take pictures, they are so great and they really make the experience worth it for the kids!
The photo system was down when we arrived at the restaurant and we were told they would mail it to us at no additional charge, to our surprise they fixed the problem and delivered the photo in a keepsake type of card board from later in our dinner, very nice! Also they took a photo of just our girls and then one of the whole family, we got both!

“Amazing! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

As a mother of two boys age 4 & 10, I was not sure how this would be received by them. One word-amazing! We were quickly escorted into the reception area. We were told that the photo pass system was down and they would need to send our complementary photo package. The problem was fixed and our photos were delivered before we left. They were perfect. I have read reviews as out people not being able to take pictures with Belle, but we took individual, couple, and group photos without feeling rushed.

Once at the table Selje took our order for meatballs and ribs for the adults and salmon and macaroni for the kids-all was delicious! Before your entrees, you can visit the buffet as much as you would like for salads, cheeses, and shrimp! It was delicious!

For dessert, a three past damper was delivered with apple cake, chocolate mousse and rice pudding. So good, we asked for another!

This place was great! I highly recommend! My kids loved interacting with Ariel, Snow White and Cinderella. A mom's dream come true!

“The best by far!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

Booked a meal at Akershus well in advance .... really it was a bit of a panic booking .... as a first timer I wasn't aware that it is advisable to make bookings months in advance... So glad we managed to get in here!! Our little girl loved getting dressed up and meeting the princesses ... Seeing her face made the whole experience priceless!!! The food was delightful .... You really could not fault it at all. We were on the Disney Dining Plan and for this event you only have to use one credit .... Which makes it excellent value... We had breakfast at the castle with the princesses and for that we had to use two credits ......And the Royal Banquet was much superior... I would highly recommend it... get it booked!!!
