“Average Chinese”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

We fairly enjoyed our meal at Ming Court but wouldn't rush back. Starters were probably the best part- tasty but one came hotter than the other. Again with the main course, one was tasty while the other was fairly bland. Desserts were disappointing with they chocolate cake seemingly straight from frozen and the cheesecake more like a sponge! Must say service was really good and our waiter was friendly and attentive.

“A disappointing Chinese restaurant”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

The Ming Court is a short walk from the Rosen Plaza Hotel, so we dined there during a recent convention stay. The restaurant facility is quite nice, with pleasant views of Chinese gardens and fish ponds. But the food was sub-par. The dim sum was flavorless, doughy, and poorly cooked. It had little or no filling. The Mongolian beef looked and tasted as if it had been sitting for a while, and was flavorless. Even the rice was poorly cooked and seemed stale. Quite disappointing, as it is conveniently located. But the location didn't compensate for the poor food.

“Poor Service, Cold food and terrible Ambiance”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

We came to MIng with a large group and we were very disappointed. We had to ask 4 times for water, spicy sauce and many of our dishes came out cold and had to be sent back. My friends ordered wine and it took 45 minutes to get a book of ice. 80% of the restuarant was closed off so they werent busy yet we could not understand why the service was so poor. The decor was dated and dirty and there was peeling wallpaper all over All of our glassware was dirty and had to be replaced Now on to the bathroom.. very dirty and smelled like mildew. Overall a poor experience

“We had some Dim Sum; and, then some!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014 via mobile

My family and I have been dining at Ming Court for more than a decade; making the trek to I-drive 2-to-3 times a year. Today, I was attending a conference at the Hyatt Regency Orlando; and, my wife was able to meet me for lunch. I had exotic plans; but, the weather kept us close to the hotel; and, Ming Court is almost right across the street.

We started out with Dim Sum: Steamed Shrimp Roll, Shrimp and Chive Dumpling, BBQ Pork, Chinese Broccoli; and, Sesame Ball.

The steamed shrimp were wrapped in a tender flour noodle, served with a house Soy Sauce, which was slightly sweet. The Shrimp and Chive Dumplings were pan fried, with the same sauce. The BBQ Pork was tender; and, tasty, served with a refreshing, vinegary cole slaw; and, the Chinese Broccoli were crispy, tender; and, tasty, served with an Oyster Sauce.

After Dim Sum, we decided to split a small-entree of Hunan Black Bean Scallops. Billed as spicy, the combination of black bean sauce, garlic, and ginger were superb; and, paired brilliantly with the tender, perfectly-cooked scallops.

Dessert was the Sesame Ball; one each; and, one to take home for our daughter. The scallops pushed the tab up to $45 before tip; but, the meal was well worth it... outstanding! And, the service from Paul was quite good, especially since the place became quite busy as lunch progressed.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

We went for lunch and was initially impressed by the atmosphere, linen tablecloths and napkins.
Our server wasn't very friendly which is unusual for Asian restaurants.
Both of us were disappointed with our meal. My fried pork was a processed frozen product with no flavor except the grease it was fried in.
