I had dinner at Memories of India tonight. It is on Turkey Lake Road in Orlando. The picture you show on your page is of the restaurant of the same name in Lake Mary, Florida. This restaurant is in a strip shopping center not far from Universal Studios. It is attractive inside and well lighted. The service was prompt. I noticed that I was the only non-Indian customer, so assumed that was a very good thing. I was wrong; this was strictly an average dining experience.
My entree was chicken tandoori. It was preceded by a small lettuce salad that was delicious. The tandoori came to the table sizzling and served with some rice and cooked onions. That was it. I am accustomed to nan (bread) at Indian restaurants, and more veggies with the tandoori like green peppers. The tandoori tasted fine, but I was disappointed that everything else is extra at this establishment.
I had two glasses of wine and one half chicken tandoori. Tab before tip was $28. I have tried several other Indian restaurants in the Orlando area, and they are all better than this one.
