My mom and I ate here in Feb 2006 for the first time. We made advanced reservations and arrived just as the restaurant opened for lunch. We were seated promptly to a great table with a nice view of the entire restaurant.

We ordered a salad each to start (Caesar Salad and a Mixed Green Salad) which were both great. They also bring bread to the table with a pesto-based dressing for dipping. We shared a Grilled Chicken Flatbread and it was fabulous! If you are a lighter eater, I recommend starting with a salad and sharing one of the flatbreads. There is more than enough food. Our entire meal with tip for the two of us cost less than $30! Not bad for any restaurant, let alone Disney!

I highly recommend Mama Melrose's. We already have reservations for our next trip in Feb 2007.

We booked Mama Melrose as part of a Grand Gatherings Experience that included the Fantasmik show. I had not read any reviews, so wasn't sure what we were going to get. I was very pleasantly surprised. I did not look at a regular menu, but I thought our meal was a great value for what all we got (11 people, $25 per adult, I think). We had a salad served family style, which was spinach and cheese with a balsamic viniagrette dressing. We then had our choice of 2 flatbreads (pizzas), which were very good also. We could then choose any main course. I had Vodka Pasta, which was outstanding. The choices ranged from steak to veal to pasta and everyone was more than satisfied. Very good food. We finished by choosing a dessert. I had the Italian gelato, which was wonderful. Overall, a great experience. We will definitely go back for a meal. Unfortunately Fantasmik was rained out that night :(

My husband and I made reservations to eat at Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano back when we made our resort reservations in January. We were excited to eat at this location as we had never eaten there on any of our several prior visits. We were to be celebrating our fourth wedding anniversary and informed not only the individual who placed our reservation of this special day, but also the hostess at the restaurant when we arrived for our reservation at 6:00 p.m. on May 18, 2006. Despite there being several open tables, we were placed at a tiny table with a gorgeous view of...the bus station and next to a screaming child. Although I understand that we are at Disney and children are a given, I thought that the restaurant staff displayed a less than "Disney-esque" style of customer service, especially the crabby hostess whom we encountered upon our arrival. Further, the chicken parmesean that I ordered was dry, although the warm bread and olive oil/pesto mix brought at the beginning of the meal was interesting, if not tasty. My husband's vodka pasta was OK. Nothing really to rave about. The desserts did look good, but we did not try any as we were anxious to leave the premises. We were really disappointed with our choice in restaurants and will not be giving this restaurant another try on any future visits. EPCOT has plenty of other restaurants to choose from with far superior food and customer service.

We've eaten at Mama Melrose twice. Our first experience wasn't a good one. Maybe they were having an off day. I booked it again during a recent trip to Disney because it was the only restaurant available for the Fantasmic package. We had a much better experience this time. As a starter, we got the flat bread with feta and tomatoes. It was wonderful! For our entrees, I ordered pasta with shrimp, clams and mussels and my husband had steak. Both dishes were really good. There was plenty of seafood with my pasta and his steak was cooked just the way he ordered it. Dessert was a little disappointing. The tiramisu wasn't very sweet. Hubby's chocolate cake was dry.
