“Crowds bring average to poor service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

Eaten here many times, but this was the first time during the busy holiday period. The service was not up to the usual. We were seated in an area that did not work because of a cold wind blowing in the door. They refused to reseat us even though there were empty tables available. That was the signal that we should have left. The server could not remember who ordered what and constantly served us the other person's food and beverages. Every time I have ordered the Cobb Salad it has been mixed tableside by the servers. They would served the dish and ask if I would like them to mix it. This time is was kind of dumped in front of me and the server turned around and left. Yes, the food may have been up to par, but the the very below par and uncaring atitude of the service staff really detracted from the whole experience. Yes, I did take my request to be reseated out to the person in charge at the podium and was given a flat no unless we wanted to come out and wait all over again. Not sure if we are going back.

We always come here on our trips to Disney. Beautiful recreation of the original Brown Derby! My favorite is of course the Cobb Salad, but I have also had the salmon which is also delicious. If you have a little one you can request a phone call from Goofy. They will bring the phone to the table and the kids can hear a special message! Overall, this is an excellent experience!

“Decent food, overpriced, nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

This is an upscale, fancy restaurant, so we felt a bit our of place there since we were dressed for a theme park day. The food was pretty good, but some of the servers were not entirely friendly. There isn't anything particularly special about the interior, except maybe the celebrity pictures. I had the steak and creme brulee for dessert, and really enjoyed it! My 12 year old didn't like the butter on the steak. But everyone liked their desserts! Overall it was just overpriced for a family and we just didn't get the money out of it with the experience. We wouldn't go back. But maybe a romantic dinner for two would enjoy this.

“Disappointing Change in Patio Menu”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

We've always enjoyed lunch on the Brown Derby patio at Disney's Hollywood Studios until this visit. They now serve a very expensive 'upscale tasting' menu on the patio rather than the full menu. We both ordered the pricey sliders and were most unpleasantly surprised. There was one small slider/hamburger which was very good, but the second "burger" was some dry spicy unpleasant thing. Neither of us ate it, and we were hungry. Think the dish cost around $15 which is a lot for a tiny burger!
