What a fantastic restaurant! We went on my father's recommendation and LOVED it! Everything is buffet-style and has African flavors. They do have a kid's buffet section but my very picky thirteen-year-old brother (so picky his BMI is between 15 & 16) adored their prime rib. The prime rib was certainly fantastic, made even better by the exceptional and unique sauces they had. The salmon was also fantastic. Boma also serves breakfast where they make spectacular African veggie breakfast pizzas and custom omelettes, as well as stupendous baked goodies.

The servers we had were so fun; our first one told actually funny animal jokes and talked with me for a long time about Wicked (the musical) and our second one was from Jamaica and kept joking that he had been on the Olympic bobsled team. Everything about Boma was so great and I would definitely return if I had the chance. This restaurant is not to miss!

One of the highlights of our trip was dining at Boma's sumptuous breakfast and dinner buffets.

Breakfast offers traditional favorites, such as cereal, french toast, bagels, scrambled eggs, made-from-scratch muffins. It also offers a varied selection of omlettes (the grilled vegetable is yummy!), meats, fresh fruit, African inspired whole grain hot cereal, kenyan coffee, tropical juice.

The dinner buffet was amazing. Exotic soups, dips, breads, roasts, salads, entrees, side dishes, desserts that will tickle your palette. Healthy and oh-so-satisfying!

Boma is a cut above the rest!

This restaurant has to be one of the best at Disney...and we have eaten at alot of restaurants!!!

We made priority seating for 14 people and were seated about 25 minutes from our original time..which was alot sooner than I expected during prime time dinnertime!! They were able to sit us all together in the center of the room.

Our server was great. The buffet is 24.99 and that included everything, including drinks. Tax/Tip extra. I believe it came out to be 27.25 pp for everything.

The salads were amazing. We could choose from Mango Vinegariette, Apple Vinegariette, Chile Cilantro Vinegariette, or Balsamic Vinegariette...all homemade. They had other various veggie salads and ceasar salads that were all good.

The soups were equally amazing. The chicken corn chowder was wonderful as was the Butternut Squash soup (which I ate again at mara the next day!). The other two were great, but I cant' remember their names at the moment!

They had a variety of African dishes to choose from..none that were too far out that you couldn't eat. The london broil was awesome. The prime rib was out of this world! The banana leave salmon was SO SO SO good. EVERYTIHNG was wonderful.

Desserts...where do I even start. The chocolate mousse crunch was I think my favorite, with the zebra domes coming in a close second. Each dessert was made into little invidicual domes so that you can grab one or ten....and not waste them. All of the desserts can be purchased down in Mara for a pretty decent price! The banana pudding was great with the vanilla sauce...and the cookies were great too. The coconut tiramisu was wonderful as well!

As you can see....there wasn't one thing I didn't like!!

Oh...and there are foods for those who aren't adventorous...like mac and cheese but I do have to say these weren't good at all. I think the effort goes into the other dishes LOL. ENJOY!!!

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and had both breakfast and dinner at Boma. We especially loved the dinner. The food was above average for a Disney restaurant. There were some great African dishes to try but plenty of things to satisfy our 7 and 13 year old. I would highly reccommend this restaurant and would plan on going even if you are not a guest at the lodge. They had some fun south African wines to try also.
