My husband and I took a trip to Disney World at the end of May for my birthday. We don't have children, so we tried to eat at more adult-friendly restaurants. I've been to Disney World 20 times, my husband 4. This was the first time we tried this restaurant, and it will be the last. The food was average. Nothing spectacular. We went to Be Our Guest and Rose & Crown Pub, both of which were much better. The service was terrible. We had reservations and were seated pretty quickly, which was fine. However, our waiter was just rude. We spent over $100 on dinner and were pretty much treated like his cheapest table of the night. No refill offers on drinks, no asking how the food was, and ordering appetizers was like asking him to do us a favor. The topper was he took 25 minutes between dropping off the check and picking it up. He had 4 tables, and spent that 25 minutes at the one next to us. My husband is fairly generous with tips, during the trip we averaged about 20-25%. We gave this waiter 10%. My husband wanted to write him a note letting him know we weren't just cheap kids, but we figured it wasn't even worth it. If you're a younger couple looking for a nicer, more romantic place, this isn't it.
