Description: Citricos restaurant brings the cuisine of southern Europe to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Citricos chefs rotate dinner selections frequently for a focused menu of American dishes inspired by the cuisine of Provençe, Tuscany and the Spanish Riviera—such as steaks seared on an oak-filled grill, creative risotto, pastas, and seafood depending on the season. The main dining room is airy and decorated with hues of yellow and orange. Old-world furnishings, wrought-iron railings and mosaic-tile floors contribute to the warm Mediterranean décor. Located on the second floor of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, windows near select tables in Citricos provide a phenomenal view of the courtyard. Other tables allow you to peer into the bustling show kitchen. Meet the Head Chef at Citricos Restaurant. The Chef's Domain at Citricos Restaurant: For an exclusive gourmet dining event that brings you even closer to the action on the culinary stage, reserve The Chef's Domain at Citricos. Diners at The Chef's Domain may order from the traditional menu or choose to have the chef create a menu for them in a private dining room that seats up to 12 Guests. The Chef's Domain has one seating daily at 6:00 p.m.; reserve early.

“Good meal in a very pretty setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

We ate here in early January and were a party of seven. The theming and atmosphere here is very pretty and calming. The service was excellent and we weren't rushed! For an appetizer I had the sauteed shrimp... omg! The shrimp was good but the sauce was so delicious everyone was dipping bread in it to try it... yum! For dinner I had the pork two ways... not a huge portion but it was still good, although the pork belly a little too fatty. I got one of their special martinis... whew! Way too strong and too alcohol tasting instead of smooth. We lucked out because while we were there we got to see the fireworks going off in Magic Kingdom! It's pricey but we had our Tables in Wonderland discount card. We would try it again though!

“Very nice if expensive meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Like almost all of our Disney experiences, the staff was just lovely, and what a treat to get there early and get to listen to the big band playing just outside the dining area! Such nice staff, can't say it enough it seems, and we thought the food was worth it. Let's face it - everything at Disney is overpriced, that's just how it is. The quality was great, one of our best meals, and a lovely dining area. Definitely recommended. Could be okay with kids, but I wouldn't recommend it - we parked our son in Neverland Club, and glad we did, felt like a lovely adult night out.

“Great service, but the food was lacking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

My husband and I were staying at the Grand Floridian and made last minute reservations at Citricos for a nice meal. After reading the reviews, we were very disappointed with our experience. The service was excellent -- that was definitely not the problem. Our waiter was knowledgeable, prompt, not overly intrusive, and very friendly. The wine list was also extensive and very nice. We had one of the "Amazing Reds" and really enjoyed it.
The food was less than impressive, however, and definitely not worth the price tag. We started with the Cheese Plate, which was good, but it's cheese -- can't really mess that up. I had the Cauliflower Soup, which was the highlight of the night. My husband ordered the Veal Shank (their specialty, supposedly), and I had the Grouper. My fish was overcooked, and my husband's veal was definitely not as "special" as we had anticipated. For dessert we ordered the Seasonal Berry Gratin. It was basically some cold berries and whipped cream on what tasted like a waffle cone. All in all, it was highly disappointing and not worth the expense.

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

we booked Citricos for evening meal Christmas day, so glad we did as others have said we were not rushed or made to feel we had to finish and leave,
the servers were so friendly , the only thing was we were not given a choice of starter it was if it is a set menu for starter and desert, although i must admit it was delicious and left me wanting more.
i had the fillet Mignon for main and it melted in my mouth, i would even say it was better than Charlies steak house, also our desert was to die for my husband couldn't eat all his chocolate mouse cake so being me i had to finish it for him,
the 3 times filtered water felt like velvet slipping down your throat so we had a couple of bottles along with the usual wine and spirits,
The ambiance of this restaurant is relaxing and friendly and again as others have stated make you forget your at a Disney Property,
well worth every penny spent ( we were not on a Disney dinning plan) and a definate for the next visit to Florida

“A real luxury, but worth it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Citricos at the utterly beautiful Grand Floridian resort has to be experienced to be believed. The service is absolutely faultless (the waiting staff know EVERYTHING about every dish and even change your white napkin for a black one if you’re wearing dark colours and don’t want to risk getting any white lint on your outfit), the cocktails are exquisite and the wine list is incredible.

The panadas, a starter of delicately spiced beef in a filo pastry shell with a sweet/sour tamarind dip were crisp on the outside and rich and meaty in the middle. The braised short ribs entrée is one I’ve had a couple of times and is always meltingly tender. Their steaks are always amazing and cooked perfectly, and don’t you dare eat so much that you miss out on one of their intricately decorated decadent chocolate desserts.

Lastly, if you ask for a table by the windows at the back of the restaurant you can watch the fireworks from the Disney parks as you dine. Magical.
