Disappointing. I was with seven other diners, and all of the entrees were uninspired - They were definitely lacking the "bold" flavors that I expected from Emeril.
We shared the Calamari and the Dumplings to start - both were just okay, with nothing unique about them. For entrees, between the eight of us, we had the NY Strip, the Duck, the Lamb, and a Grouper special. In all cases, there were no interesting sauces or spices accompanying the $30+ entrees. Is Emeril trying to appeal to the "masses" with this menu simply because the restaurant is in Orlando?
The positives were the gorgeous decor (as other reviewers mentioned), and the best Bloody Mary I've ever had. They also had a full menu of fun tropical drinks. I'd recommend stopping by for a drink at the comfortable bar if you're passing through Universal.
