“Beautiful course!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

Very nice layout and lots of water. The course had just been aerated and the greens were bumpy, but they reduced the rate due to the aeration. Staff were friendly and helpful. The course should be in great shape in a couple of weeks! I would highly recommend playing!

“Long off the backs. Played longer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2014

Day started well. Good shop. Good range. No putting green as closed for maintenance sadly but most greens in florida are a similar pace. It played long. Was a windy day and were a 6 and 9hcap average drive 270-90 and many holes were tough to reach. The par 3s were brutal. Last being 234 into wind. All carry with bunkers and water. A real test. If I went again and was still day I'd play backs but otherwise for most enjoyment I'd go up a level. Happily go back though.

“Great club”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2014

We reserved well in advance and were a group of 40 ranging from complete amateurs to almost professionals, and all of us had fun, since it is a very playeable course but also keeping a bit of interesting complexity for more advanced players. Water everywhere. Most of the holes are long - be prepared to walk more than usual or rent a cart. The hotel itself is a delight. Even not being as green as it could be, the grass is very well cared.

“water water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

Enjoyed a beautiful late afternoon on this spectacular course at a reasonable rate for cart ,clubs and course.
Bring a good supply of balls for the three you get are not enough.
16 of the holes have water and the designer must have never heard of short par threes.
Well organised and rangers keep players moving along thus avoiding really long tedious rounds.
Greens were not the best as work was obviously being down so lacked a little consistency but should be very quick given a month or two.
Good price for a top quality golf experince

“Worst experience on a golf course in 45 years of playing the game”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2014

Me and seven of my golf buddies traveled from Nassau Bahama to play some golf in Orlando. Shingle Creek was one of the courses we selected and booked about 4 weeks in advance. We arrived within 5 minutes of our tee time and went straight to the first hole for tee off. After playing the first hole we started on our way to the second hole. We somehow ended up on the wrong path wich we niticed and ended up making an abrupt stop to get on the correct path. My partner in the cart somehow ended up against the windshield of the cart and it was dislodged. He decided to place the windshield on the side of the path to the tee box because there was no place to put it on the cart that would not leave it in the way during play. When we got to the tee box about to tee off a golf course worker approached us in the most unprofessional way I've ever experience in my 30 years of being in the hotel and hospitality business. He insisted that we put the glass back in the cart. After he clearly conceded that there was no practical place for the glass on the cart he demanded that we call the pro shop. We told we did not have a cell phone and further we did not even know the number. We asked him if he could carry the glass in since he was driving a vehicle with lots of space. He said ok ans left. When we got to the third hole tee we were approached by another worker who also approached us in the most negative way imagined. We tried extremely hard to maintain our composure and we explained what happened. To our surprised he then said his Suprentendant and assistant Suprentendant told him that the glass was ripped off the cart and thrown in the bush he also asked us if we are trying to convince him that they are both lying. We told him unequivicalky they are lying if they told him that. He also asked us why we did not call the pro shop. We told him we were busing from the Bahamas and did not have a cell phone. We asked him if he would allow us to complete the round and discuss it at the clubhouse after the round. He left. On the fourth green we were approached by a security and the manager of the resort who told us (8 players - keep in mind the other players was no way involved with the incident) to leave the golf course. We said ok. We went to the clubhouse and asked for our money back and they said no. So to summarize one cart with two players had an accident, 8 players with 4 carts were asked to leave the golf course with no refund. This is the absolute worst experience ever had in my 45 years if playing the game. I have played literally all over the world. Bad attitude, terrible communication skills with all staff we interacted with. I would definitely caution anyone who is contemplating playing this golf course. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. They should not be allowed to be in business with this attitude.
