We went on line to Waltdisney and searched DELUXE hotels and found there were serveral. We then probed further becuase we wanted two rooms, be it a one bedroom suite or two separate rooms as we have a 2 1/2 year old and a 1 year old. So we were convinced by reservation agents after looking at the kids suite at the Loews that we needed to book a villa at Disney. There are only three resorts that have villas, the Beach Club, Saratoga Springs and the Broadwalk Inn.

A Villa consists of one master bed room with a living room and kitchen that has a sofa bed. Which was prefect for what we needed. Based on that we booked a Villa at The BroadWalk.

Our first night my 21/2 year old touched a wood blind which fell on him and cut his hand. We called the manager which offered to call his engineer and we asked for bandaids. Bandaids never came, the enigineer went back and brought them.

Our room was dirty when we first checked in.

Bed was uncomfortable.

Housekeeping decided not to show up on the 3rd day.

The manager said it was because we booked a time share room, which no one had explained we would be treated different and no one explained that it was time share.

Overall hotel was very average and we paid for a deluxe resort.

This was a great resort. i've heard so much about the elevators being too far from the rooms. This may be true, but be sure to ask for a room facing the pool area with the slide and you won't have a problem.

During the first two days, the pool was very cold. We voiced our complaints and within two days the water was warm and we all enjoyed the pool.

The staff was always friendly and accommodating. I recommend a room facing the main pool with the slide. The boardwalk rooms could invade your privacy. A successful trip depends on your ability to get a room near the elevators. For those flying, take advantage of the hotels ability to chekc your luggage at the hotel so you don;t have to carry it to the airport. This service was great.

I highly recommend this resort.

We stayed 3 nights in the Boardwalk Villas (a part of the vacation club) in a one bedroom suite. The room was extremely large with a wonderful bathroom and kitchen facilities. The staff was great. We truly had no complaints. The pool was a hit with both kids (ages 5 & 2)--especially the slide. If I had to say one thing-it would be that they could use more chairs and tables at the pool although we did not run into a problem. The boardwalk was a lot of fun-especially with the entertainment and the surrey bike rentals. Spoodles restaraunt was outstanding with great service and food and the Bakery was pretty good for pastries in the morning. We had no problem with catching the bus (with a stroller) and arriving at our destinations in a fair amount of time. It did get quite crowded coming back from Downtown Disney late, late at night and my husband had to stand the whole way. We had such a pleasant time that we ended up staying an extra night in order to use the pool again for the day!

First, disregard the negative reviews. My husband and ten yr. old stayed in rm 5024 a one bedrm villa overlooking main pool with side views of Tower of Terror and Mickeys Hat over at MGM. The room was clean kitchen was stocked enough for us, washer/dryer ok only wash small loads and bed was comfy except for the VERY SOFT pillows! We like some substance in a pillow. Bring a couple of your own if you can. Pullout sofa comfortable for our son. Bathrm big with soft towels and big closet to put your things away. Our porch was long but narrow but nice overlooking pool. We saw the 11pm fireworks over at MGM that woke us up but very cool. We were by the stairwell that took us down near the main pool. You will not want to walk to the elevator to get to the pool from this rm. Elevator is very far away but the hallways are very A/C friendly! Transportation is very efficient. Walk to Epcot/MGM is only 10-20minutes depending on how fast you walk. One thing if you do the Magic hours for onsite guests. Disney was the best after hours because the park is spread out with alot of great rides. Where as Epcot/MGM has only a few good rides and the waits were way too long for rides such as Soarin/Test Track, Rockin Roller Coaster etc. We never did the early Magic Hours because we have been here quite a few times. But Disney after hours was open one night during our stay from 11pm-2am! Great weather, no lines! We would definately stay here again. Even if only my husband and myself came. The Boardwalk at night is fun with its variety acts and the rental bikes for families is very fun. Espn food good as well as the pizza. Breakfast at Spoodles was nothing to write home about. There is a general store on the boardwalk called the Screen Door and has some food items if you get sick of the Disney cuisine. Staff friendly, helpful. Pool is great with waterslide and in the afternoon counselors come by the pool with music and have contests with the kids We cannot wait to come back to Disney!

Recent stay in 1Bd villa over Memorial Day (4 days). Nicely appointed pool view room with easy elevator access. Also they offer frequent shuttles to Epcot and MGM Studios via boat (each park separately). It is also a quick walk to Epcot (5 minutes) with a short express entry point between France & England areas of Epcot. Same is true for the Beach Club Villas. We enjoyed the boardwalk area with restaurants and bike rentals, nice in the evening and not crowded like Downtown Disney (avoid - parking is difficult & usually full at night). Try the ESPN restaurant. Traveling with tots tip: there is a small playground adjacent to the "baby" pool. Nice to have it so close. Room service was excellent too. Surpasses the newest DVC resort (SS) when comparing similar stays.
