“Food was good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

The chicken wings & the noodles were wonderful. The service was a little slow...we had to constantly wait for more meat

“Best food we ate at Disney”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

We ate here for Dinner and for breakfast. The dinner was good and the only food we enjoyed on our trip. My only complaint over dinner was that I asked for our drinks to be refilled and they never did. Breakfast was fun but the food was exactly the same as the quick service meal from Captain Cooks only 4 times the price.

“The character breakfast is a family favourite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Our second visit to O'hana's character breakfast with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch was just as enjoyable as our initial visit in January 2009.

The atmosphere is wonderful (love that each person is presented with a lei upon arrival), the Polynesian is a gorgeous resort, and we were lucky enough to be seated by the window with a view of the castle at Magic Kingdom.

The fresh fruit that starts off the breakfast feast is delectable, particularly the pineapple.

The POG juice is delicious (a blend of pomegranete, orange and guava), different than anything we usually drink, and staff are happy to refill your glass as many times as you want.

We love that this meal is served "family style", right to your table. It makes the meal so much more relaxing than the standard serve-yourself buffet. Mickey waffles were light and fluffy, the sausage and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the breakfast potatoes were DIVINE. The eggs were okay....served scrambled, they were good but nothing spectacular. We had no problem getting seconds (and thirds! my boys can eat!) of the meats and potatoes. We were also given a selection of their new "lighter fare" menu at no additional charge, but most items were cold when they arrived at the table so they went uneaten.

Character interaction here is excellent. Stitch was grossing out patrons and making kids laugh by picking his nose and wiping the boogers on unsuspecting guests. Pluto is equally rascally as he makes his way from table to table. Having some one-on-one Mickey time is always golden, and Lilo was sweet as ever. Characters took their time with each table and we got some great photos to go along with our fond memories.

While our server completely overdid the whole "cousin" thing (waaayyyyy to many "cousin"s uttered over the course of the meal.......I'm all for theming but at some point it becomes serious overkill), she was extremely efficient, capable and attentive so we'll forgive her ;-) .

Even at 17, our teen son is already wanting to go back on our next trip. Two thumbs up!

“Take your time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Many people I have talked to feel rushed when they dine at Ohana in the Polynesian Resort. It is easy to feel that way because it seems like they are bringing a new dish to your table every 5 minutes and many try to speed-eat before the next item is brought. It took me several visits to this restaurant before I learned to slow down and just enjoy the food. The salad and bread are wonderful and I have seldom been finished with them when they begin bringing the hot appetizers and noodles and vegetables and the many many skewers of chicken, beef, shrimp and pork. The table gets very crowded . I like the skewers of chicken best and I usually only have them. My husband likes the shrimp and beef. We just turn down the rest. Neither of us likes the bread pudding but we love the ice cream and bananas foster caramel sauce so we ask them not to bring it. It is hard to not feel stuffed when you leave.

The entertainment (children's games ) is a little loud and annoying if you do not have children participating. It is cute to watch but does go on a little too long (the food gets cold quickly!)
If you can get a seat near a window it is a little quieter, at least you don't have people rushing past you constantly. But the whole spirit of the place is full of energy which we like. And we like this place more every time we dine here. It is consistently good. But if you are looking for a place to have a quiet dinner--this is not it!!

“Hope your hungry”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

I have eaten here oh 20 + times and I loved the first 5 times the best then disney started changing the menu I still loved it but just preferred the original menu all you can eat shrimp, steak, chicken and pork if you can get a table near closing time of the parks and a seat by the windows and you can see a wonderful water parade and fireworks display we have had one problem with a huge party on my friends birthday and they did nothing and meals aren't cheap about 30 bucks a person so when they do nothing for a rude waiter it's upsetting but they still have a great track record with Me food is always awesome
