Our second visit to O'hana's character breakfast with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch was just as enjoyable as our initial visit in January 2009.
The atmosphere is wonderful (love that each person is presented with a lei upon arrival), the Polynesian is a gorgeous resort, and we were lucky enough to be seated by the window with a view of the castle at Magic Kingdom.
The fresh fruit that starts off the breakfast feast is delectable, particularly the pineapple.
The POG juice is delicious (a blend of pomegranete, orange and guava), different than anything we usually drink, and staff are happy to refill your glass as many times as you want.
We love that this meal is served "family style", right to your table. It makes the meal so much more relaxing than the standard serve-yourself buffet. Mickey waffles were light and fluffy, the sausage and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the breakfast potatoes were DIVINE. The eggs were okay....served scrambled, they were good but nothing spectacular. We had no problem getting seconds (and thirds! my boys can eat!) of the meats and potatoes. We were also given a selection of their new "lighter fare" menu at no additional charge, but most items were cold when they arrived at the table so they went uneaten.
Character interaction here is excellent. Stitch was grossing out patrons and making kids laugh by picking his nose and wiping the boogers on unsuspecting guests. Pluto is equally rascally as he makes his way from table to table. Having some one-on-one Mickey time is always golden, and Lilo was sweet as ever. Characters took their time with each table and we got some great photos to go along with our fond memories.
While our server completely overdid the whole "cousin" thing (waaayyyyy to many "cousin"s uttered over the course of the meal.......I'm all for theming but at some point it becomes serious overkill), she was extremely efficient, capable and attentive so we'll forgive her ;-) .
Even at 17, our teen son is already wanting to go back on our next trip. Two thumbs up!
