“Comfy beds and great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

I was there on business for a trade show for 4 days, Feb. 2013. Since I did not really leave the premises I can tell you the hotel was quite nice. Rooms were very quiet and the beds, pillows were extremely comfortable. Bathrooms were quite large and spacious. Service was great! I swam at the pool one morning before the show. I love to do laps and the pool made for a a very long lap as all the pools were connected.

Room Tip: I stayed on the 9th floor in a corner room. Very quiet & soundproof.

This is my first time staying at the JW Marriott Orlando, like other JW Marriott hotels that i have stayed in, this is a very nice hotel. The rooms are not overly large but comfortable, quiet, and very nice.

I did not give the hote 5 stars as it is not quite a 5 star hotel (example st. regis Dana Point is a 5 star) but it is very very nice.

The service that i have experienced since checking in has been great. The front desk, starbucks on site, fitness center staff have all been great. They are friendly and well trained.

I have used the lap pool at the spa and it was very nice. I can not speak to the lazy river pool as i have not used it but it looks nice and i have not played golf on the golf course but again it looks very nice.

I traveled to this location on Business so not sure if my kids would like it as it seems to be a convention type hotel. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future. Very comfortable!!

The JW is connected to the Ritz, so you have twice the choices and superb service. the lazy river with an inner tube and a cocktail are not to be missed! Could not get into the Primo restaurant without a reservation, but the food and wine selection at Citron were excellant.

Room Tip: lake and poolside, very nice!

The hotel is a beautiful oasis resort, with good restaurants, nice rooms, a lovely walk around the manmade lake and a nice "Lazy River" pool. Very good onsite fitness facility with lots of cardio and weight equipment. The rooms are a nice size and the bathrooms are quite large. The restaurants are a bit pricy for families so I suggest families drive elsewhere for dinner (there are no other restaurants in walking distance - this is an oasis!). I was there for a conference and brought along husband and 5-year-old son. The conference facilities were very comfortable and well run and my family enjoyed the on-site Starbucks. We all enjoyed the wonderful "Lazy River" pool, which is heated and large. There is also a playground for kids. We had a delicious dinner at the Vineyard Grill restaurant at the Ritz, where the staff treated my son like a king and gave him toys to play with and keep. Nice touch.

The JW Marriott delivered this week. We had a conference and the staff made the meeting a success. From check in to check out, everything went perfectly.
The lobby bar is spacious and their are two good restaurants for lunch.
The hotel is surrounded by great restaurants that are only ten minutes away.
There is a FedEx office on site too.
The Ritz golf course is only a short walk away from the JWM.
The entire property is very nice. It would be a great place for a vacation too.

Check-in was fast, friendly, and efficient. Rooms are not that large but adequate with good sized bathrooms. I really enjoyed their beddings and thinking of buying them from shopmarriot.com. Their roll away bed was also very comfortable.
It is a plus that guests are allowed to use some of the amenities at Ritz-Carlton located next to it.
The numerous pools and lazy river in a tropical lush setting was the best of our stay. We (hubby, 3 kids & myself) stayed 2nd week of december before the holiday travels, so, hotel was not crowded. It was like we had a pool to ourselves everyday.
The game room is a tiny room with just a few games.
Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times and places.
We ate mostly off property as there are many options close by.
The premium outlet mall is also not too far away and has lots of good buys. Too bad we went there on owr way to the airport as we were leaving and did not have much time to shop.
This is a beautiful hotel and we will be staying here again next time we are in Orlando.

Initially we visited for Thanksgiving weekend to determine whether we wanted to stay here instead of Disney for our Christmas trip. We were torn between wanting to get away, how far was this hotel from the parks and did we want all Disney all the time.... Which to us translates into way more crowds. We quickly knew we wanted to stay here for our trip. Aside from the fact that this was one third the cost of Disney for the same time period (isn't that enough.) the staff was terrific. We are Marriott rewards members and got a little upgrade on our Christmas trip which was fantastic with 5 people in our room, it was perfect to have that extra space. It is attached to the Ritz, but honestly has everything you need or want. The pool is better here and wee decided that we wouldn't want to stay at the ritz and walk to the nicer pool. The pool is fantastic. Kids won't get bored easily here. Bars, including pool bar are expensive , of course, but you can take your own, which we did. We had drinks we mixed ourselves and put in a camelbak, bought one drink at pool, and refilled. We also took our own drinks down to have out at the fire pit at night. We had a package where we had a hotel credit each night so that helped to offset our charges. We got our Disney tickets here, final cards, no need to sit in line at the park, scan right in. This hotel has so many amenities, bocce, pedi cabs you can ride around the properties, fantastic pool, some kids club activities. We did not miss being at Disney, rather, because it was Christmas break and SO busy, it was a nice reprieve to get away from all the ride people we encountered at the parks. I don't know that I would stay at Disney over this hotel. I love Disney but like the variety and separation. The drive to the park is like 5 minutes and we did not miss the benefits of Disney such as water taxis etc. didn't need them. WE generally stuck to one park a day and didn't want to go to the park with extra hours because it was reportedly the most busy anyway . Disney was such a zoo at Christmas I would not recommend it but I will review that on Disney itself. We have now stayed here three times in the last four months or so and will continue to make this our place to stay in Orlando. Great value. Great property.close to parks . No hassle
