Its a 5* hotel set by itself (along with the Ritz Carlton). The hotel itself is impressive with a great pool complex. However, the isolation means you must use the hotel facilities for food and drink - this is not cheap. It cost me $25 for a wrap and beer by the pool.
I was part of one of the conventions (those which appear to distress at least one other reviewer) and it worked well for that. The convention food was, IMHO, above average.
The internet is $12.95 per day. The gym is at the spa and appears to cost $20 per day. Didn't see it. Room was v nice overlooking the pool and golf course - but then its a 5* hotel and should be.
My interactions with the reception desk staff were all good but, remember, this is a 5* hotel and lacks that 'personal' element.
