“Huge Place Great Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

The place is huge comparing to many other resorts. The service was outstanding. I never saw so many young staff working at the reception area at the other resorts like the West Gate Lake. Every staff was very energetic, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were placed at the old building. So many things were broken and could not get them to work. The elevator was smelling every day. We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit. The unit design is very nice and roomy with one exception that the second bedroom window is on the walk way side. if you leave the blinds opened, the other guests can see you in your bed.

We were discouraged to report. We just reported on very necessary things for example Internet, heat and hot water. The weather was unexpected cold when we were there. Staying without heat and hot water for 2 days was not pleasant. We called on the second day and the problem was fixed.

The timeshare presentation was the worst. We did not expect to participate in this type of sale. We were not told about this. At check-in we were sent to the timeshare table and ware told that someone would take us for a resort tour. We thought it would be a good idea to know way around, but we were in the sale pitch. We were told that every must attend the presentation. We were told that we must be there at 8:30 or 9:00 am. We usually get up late during vacation. This was the first time we had to get up early. Why do they expect the people who go for vacation have to get up early for this type of activities?

We felt it should be an option. The sale man was very unethical, rude and unprofessional. If you go there, you should prepare for this.

Room Tip: Request to stay in the newer building. If you can choose the room that the windows have no access fr...

“Great Place - Once the Time Share Pitch was Done”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

Went in dreading the time share pitch...only listened because we were told that we'd get all kinds of deals on half price park tickets, but certainly not the case. Were told the "sales pitch" would be 1.5 hours and we were there from 9 - 12:30. Time shares are great, just not our thing. Once we got over that, everything was just about perfect. The grounds are lovely - 7 pools make for lots of great choices. Parking late at night was TERRIBLE - don't plan on parking close to your unit if you come back late. We had a studio (like a standard hotel room), and it was very adequate, clean, and had whatever you needed. The screened in balcony was lovely. Went in unsure of what housekeeping servies were going to be provided, but we got clean towels and the bed made every day so it all worked out. Tons of golf carts ZOOMING around everywhere makes for dangerous left hand turns. Close to every restaurant imaginable, shopping, and all the parks. Located off the "main drag", yet close enough to everything. Would definitely stay here again and know to skip the time share portion of it.

“Time Share”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Its a good clean resort we paid cash for our week wouldn't call it a value but it is clean and finished out with top end materials has a kitchen and washer and drier which is essential with small children and is centrally located in Orlando.

“Liked it a lot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

We went in dreading the time share experience and not planning on purchasing but we came out of there with a GREAT piece of property at an excellent cost. Had a really knowledgeable sales rep (haiya) who put up with my repeated questions over the same material. Unit itself had a fabulous lay out THOUGH the decor and appliances (if you're on the rental side--we stayed in the 1600 building) are DEF out of date. But clean. The last day we had two different parties come to our door asking us when we would be checking out...just a touch annoying. But everyone was SUPER helpful. We stayed in a 2 BR and it was great.

Room Tip: 1600 building was outdated but nice. In a back corner. Parking wasn't an issue.

“It was not bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

It was the first time visiting the resort after we became owners in 2012 and I guess my expectations were kind of high. We were told all the way that this is a 5 star resort, but we experienced just a full 3 star one.
Yes, there was no housekeeping during our 4 nights stay and we had to take the garbage out, but that is not such a big deal. What it did bother me was the fact that the apartment was not updated for 7-8 years as per a staff statement and everything looked old: appliances, mirors, tap fixtures, even the interior design. I pay $1000 per year for maintenance and I expect an updated apartment when I come in once per year. That's all.
P.S. Do not choose an unit close to the ground as the noise of the A/C units is terrible, especially at night if you want to relax on the balcony.

Room Tip: ask for newly renovated unit, higher floors have less A/C unit noise, if you are young and want a bu...
