After having a fantastic vacation at Westgate Lake and Spa we decide that the Palace would have been even better especially with the name Palace, however, it did not live up to our expectations.
So let me start with the good points.
Location excellent, close proximity to theme parks, shows, restaurants and other outdoor activities. Lots of parking which was the only downside for Westgate Lake and Spa.
The staff were attentive, friendly, and willing to help when necessary. Beautiful view from lake side units
The downside of our trip
The master bedroom was small compared to the other bedroom, the shower stall was sealed so taking a shower meant water leaking on the ground
We slept late till 9am most mornings, so we ask housekeeping if they could return around 11, many times they never did. When they did clean the sheets were not changed, no extra toilet paper or hand towel was left, they didn't vacuum the carpets or sweep the floors, the shower stall was obviously left out of the cleaning equation. One day we called and asked for extra towels only to get an upset person bring 10 wash rags 5 bath rugs and 5 hand towels yes u read correctly no bath towels, no one answered housekeeping phone.
Compared to the other resort this one lacked activities and what they had didn't happen water aerobics to be exact.
The biggest turn off was the welcome breakfast if u advertise that you only need an hour stick to it, if you ask if we stayed at any of your other resorts and we say yes, then you don't need to give an over view, three hours later is taking advantage of people and getting upset when we are not interested is downright unprofessional
If free wifi is given at the other resorts then why am I paying?
Security to enter the compound was lacking cause most times there was no security guard at the gate.
The elevator is slow and has a musky scent
